I like selling direct mail a service to my clients.

I also like prospecting and selling products/services via postcard direct mail as well.

Direct mail is still the most target form of marketing and has the highest ROI of any other online or offline media. I've tested them all.... so I say this with confidence.

If you're going to dive into direct mail or any kind of copywriting for that matter, I'd go through this free copywriting course first:

I tested the every door direct with the post office and got a decent return and have some tweaks that I am working on to improve it.

My best advertising is to a squeeze page off a Craigslist ad I get anywhere between 2 and 10 leads a week usual already sold when they call...

Although I am not a big fan of direct mail, the best results I got was when I made my packages unusually shaped, in a FedEx or USPS priority envelope. I achieved this by stuffing ziplock bags with shredded money. Sometimes I would also send a dummy iPhone along with my sales materials. I think the oddly shaped packages intrigued business owners enough for them to at least take a look.

I had no luck with flat envelopes. The open rate was low (I can gauge this when I follow up), and I was blown off once they found out my package was basically a sales letter. Not much different than cold calling in these cases.

We found it fairly effective to turn these static print advertisements into a more interactive experience for consumers by adding QR Codes or Mobile Keywords to the ad. Also by adding an icon for Facebook and Twitter, may show that your business advertisement is a bit more cutting edge.
