Website Creations For Offline Local Business (Job)

Hi,

I have been in the online business for a long time trying out a lot of different things but I never knew about offline marketing until I came here. I'm clueless I know.

Anyways, after reading a couple of threads from contributing members and such I have decided to create a business for website creation for local business which do not have a website.

I'm thinking of creating a website that offers 2-3 different website creations with hosting, domains, web design, company email, 24/7 help, upgrades, advertising etc.

Then making a letter and mailing to 100-200 different local business and see who responds, and meet with them if neccesary and provide the details.

Does this look like a good method ?

Every method is a good method; there is no bad method out there. It depends on your own twist, perseverance and your own skill sets.

I can see you have the big picture in your mind; so start striving towards it by starting to implement the steps needed to achieve it.

Slowly tweak whatever is needed to achieve what you have in your mind.

THERE IS NO BAD BUSINESS MODEL OUT THERE! Just be creative and persevere to achieve what you have in mind; most important of all keep tweaking your offers based on the feedback and the current trends.

    Good luck to you

The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous. The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits him and sells itself.....

Anyone else have some advice, Id rather not meet with them and get it done via Bank transfer and provide a lot of phone support or have a automated system but how much would that cost me

Just do it. It's your business, it's supposed to be the way you want it.

Just develop a good system and make it clear to people, from the beginning, that you're not going to meet with them.

Make sure your letters say things about them going online to look at options, or email you their preferences, etc. Make sure you don't say words like 'meet.'

No matter how you do business, a number of people will like it, a number of people will not care one way or another, a number of people will hate it.

Go after the first group, accept (if they fit your other criteria) the 2nd, and avoid and ignore the 3rd.

The key is to find your hungry crowd. They must want what you're selling and have the money to pay. So, select careful who you're sending your letter to.

Also, work on positioning. It's easier to sell if they perceive you as the person to go to for what you're selling. You position yourself in many ways, including in how you describe what you sell, what you call your service, how you approach them, who you approach, etc.

Make them an offer they can't refuse. Figure out what, besides your product/services they value and give it to them at a low price or as a bonus... Just make sure the arithmetic works.

Take a look at Dan Kennedy's Ultimate Sales Letter. Has some great stuff, for setting up campaigns, for writing letters, about positioning.

The method you chose works, unless you make it not work.

I have been thinking about selling some of the products you mentioning, and this are some of ideas I have.
get into meetup.com and register to young entrepenuers circle, marketing circles, construction and more as meny groups as you can, them go to the meetings and meet biz owners.
also register to linkedin and get contacts if you see some one have a biz and dont show a website in the profile there you go sen a email.
I hope this ideas work for you
    good luck

One of the BEST way to sell websites fast is to cold call. What you can do is to show them what they can expect from your website creation service. Give these business owners the real life demo of your job. If you can do this 3/4 of your sales pitch are done and just wait for your prospects to ask you about the pricing.

I would just go out into the business 2 business selling world and see what you can't do. Don't be scared, all your doing is asking them if they have a website, and if they would want to tap into the online community and maybe get one up on the competitors. You can also ask them if they have ever had a client based on online marketing. If they say yes, then you can explain how they are missing more and more of those types of customers all because they don't have a website. As long as you act like, they need what you have, then you will be successful. Remember to educate and not sell.

Sounds like a great idea, 100-200 letters you say that's a good start 200 letters 5 days a week is 1000 letters so about 4000 a month. Over the years i have found letter writing to be very time consuming and expensive with little or no return.

There are much better ways to do this
