Offline Lead Generation and the Best Place to Buy Plastic Gift Cards

Not sure if I'm allowed to post links, but there was a bhw post on doing offline lead generation by distributing gift cards for businesses i.e. $50 gift card good for a gym membership at the local gym.

I think this method is very doable, and I was wondering if anyone else has done this and had success. And also, any websites they liked for the printing of the plastic gift cards. I did a google search and found some, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with any sites they could recommend.

    Can you elaborate on how this would work?

    How exactly are you getting them new customers by giving out a gift card?

    Are you capturing names on a list? Are you doing this offline or online?

    Etc...

    The general idea seems ok but how are you planning to do it?
