Getting to busy, time for Salesforce?

Hello all

I have used Salesforce before when I was consulting and working with a Social Media Agency. It was a great software product but way to many bells and whistles. I am looking for an Salesforce alternative, something either free or low cost I can use myself and recommend to my students. Please advise.

        I was just looking into Salesforce as a means to get contact/leads from their Data.com(?) i think thats what the guy on the phone called it!

          I just asked this same question a few days ago and someone recommended Bitrix24. I've been using it and it's free for the size and purpose i use it for. Worth a Look.

            Thanks, I am looking for something more like Salesforce but simple and easy to use. Bitrix24 looks more about tracking Social Media. I want to track Sales leads, build sales pipelines and have a follow up system.

              Bitrix 24 has an inbuilt crm that you can use to do follow ups. The social bit is that its a social intranet no a way for tracking social media

            Nice to see claywhite is using bitrix24. That was my recommendation Maybe i should write an article on how the crm works

    I used Salesforce in the corporate world. When I started by own agency in 2005, I begun with SF. It's an amazing tool.

    In 2009 we switched to ZOHO, a SF competitor. While not quite as good as SF, ZOHO did EVERYTHING I needed for sales and marketing, including scheduling, funnels, email marketing, auto responders and many reports.

    I'm very happy with ZOHO. The nice thing about ZOHO, is the price.

    I recall SF to be $65/mth per user. ZOHO is FREE for the first three users, then only $25/mth after that.

    For the price and the requirements I need in a small business, SF is WAY too much, ZOHO is perfect.

      I use SF in my corporate job. Nice CRM, but as others have mentioned, lots of bells and whistles.

      For my consulting biz, I have been using OnePage CRM. It's simple, inexpensive, and is excellent for following up.

    Sweet, thanks Scott and BigMak !! I use ZoHo for giving tasks to team in Philippines but forgot about all its other functions.
