    Nobody hates you YET, .

And the real answer to your question is that there will ALWAYS be room for you to profit if you are able to help the client. High quality work will NEVER go out of demand!

I swear, on my oath as a human being...that there will always be room for more Offline marketers.

There are 250,000 life insurance agents (licensed anyway, many are not active). When was the last time one called you?

Don't worry about asking stupid questions. At my first sales job, selling fire alarms in Akron Ohio, I asked my manager "So what happens when we sell everybody?'

He looked at me like I was from Mars and said "You mean all 500,000? I guess we would retire". I didn't think to do the math and realize that it would take us 89,000 years to sell everyone. (a rough estimate based on the numbers I just made up).

      Funny stuff.

OP, there is enough business out there to last everyone on this forum 200 years.

After you meet your demise, we could put you into a cryogenic tube, wake you up in 2213 and there will still be business owners without a website.

73% of all such numbers are made up.
Also, I wish more people would take and follow an oath to be a human being.

      back to the thread:

Every profession has too many people, too much competition,
so you should not pursue any career or goal and just stay home.

Seriously, one should pursue whatever career or goal they want and never give up.
Just be good at it and always get better.

    I think it's GREAT!

So many people "selling" means the business sees a lot of low quality people who suck at marketing. That makes it much easier for me to stand out.

If you are dealing with losers all day, a professional is a breath of fresh air.

I think this is a huge point. If you are truly an expert and a professional you will stand out and get noticed. This is one reason I tell people to start with cold walking. No one does that anymore and you can really stand out.

So true. Cold walking is a blast. Grab your "battle book," some business cards, walk into shops and talk to some real people. You can really have a lot of fun with prospects. Most of them like to see positive people that have good ideas that will make them money. Yes, some are grumpy cats. Just move on.

I totally agree with these guys. There will never be too many. If you come from a place of passion for what you do, and take great care of your customers while delivering a high quality service, that will shine through and help you get plenty of business, even if there are others in your area doing the same.

By the way, I don't believe any question is stupid, especially when it comes from an honest drive to learn. We all have to start somewhere, and besides, even seasoned experts consult other seasoned experts at times. No one knows everything. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Those who want to help will. Forget the rest.

    All the best to you.

I agree also. There will never be too many.. some are good some are bad. A lot of people in this business they have a salesman mentality instead of a consultant mentality. When you work with businesses you are trying to consult them and help them get more customers, some people are pushy on trying to sell a package just to make the quick money... there will be a lot of marketers out there but only the smart few make a fulltime living from it.

To put this in perspective your prospects are:

All English speaking business owners in the world who you could
conceivably help to make more money (assuming you're only
targeting small to medium sized businesses...we're leaving out
    larger companies for now).

That is a MONSTER niche accounting for well over half of the
entire commerce done in the world.

And you're using internet marketing strategies to help them.

That's the fastest growing niche in the world. In 1995 almost
no one was online now it's a huge percentage of the world's
population and business is having a very hard time trying to
keep up with the rapidly changing face of internet marketing.

That's not going to stop...in fact the problem for businesses is
likely to become more acute over the coming years.

And the number of people offering services compared to over half the
    world's business turnover is miniscule.

You have one of the most amazing business opportunities in history here...
a business that is almost all profit with an incredibly large and hungry market.

Some people reading this are already getting rich, some people will read this
and go on to get rich, some will just be happy making a comfortable living
and some will squander this opportunity worrying about a million tiny, incidental
    things that simply don't matter.

    Kindest regards,
    Andrew Cavanagh

P.S. I'm not sure what cold calling has to do with it.

There are so many different ways of getting clients and
most of the best involve meeting your prospects in person
or being introduced to them by someone you know.
