What gifts do you give away?

I've seen some folks on here referencing give-aways in order to get the appointment, get the sale, etc.

I've heard talk of giving away TV's, electronics, restaurant gift certificates, etc.

I'm thinking of testing an offer for my dog training company to do a give away for new clients. I'd like to give away something that is not pet related.

I'm looking for ideas for items that can be sourced in small batches for about $75 or less.

Any ideas on items? Or places to source them?

Thanks.

I know you said not dog related but have you thought of partnering with a dog related business where they would help promote your services because every new customer gets a gift cert to THEIR store.

On top of that you can negotiate a percent off discount on the gift cert.

Not a bad idea at all. Salt Lake City doesn't really have the specialty pet store that I'd want to partner with but I'll look deeper at this idea. Thank you.

You can make them pet-related by adding pet images. Or, you can add non-pet related images/words.

Would be great if its a dog related thing, I would suggest bone-shaped dog tags including engraving on it the dogs name.

What vacations do you give away? I actually have some free certificates for a 2 night hotel stay. They're good, I've used them before.

They're not great, though, and they don't seem to push people to action.

I'm curious the resource you use for yours? Thanks.

I would get a catalog from these guys. https://www.bnfusa.com

There is no need to spend more than $10 for a great appointment gift.

My best gifts for closing sales were always tool sets, clocks, cookware (high face value). All are at this wholesale source.

The best appointment gifts are here. Very good prices (wholesale)

Does anyone have some stats in regards to closing rates when taking a gift vs not?

This is something I've never even considered doing.

Although I did once leverage some free vouchers I got for spa treatments from a client to help land another client.

Not with online marketing, but selling in people's homes, it gave us about a 5% bump in sales. we went from about (as an office) 40 to 45% closing.

It was worth doing, but it won't double your sales.

Adding a gift to get us an appointment? Dramatically effective. The better the gift, the more appointments. The appointments hold up better too.

While you mentioned that the gift you wanted to give away is preferably not pet related, it is still possible to give away something that both fits that description and ramps up the possibility of getting new customers. For example, booklets and books are two good things to get for free, and of course the price range on that can go from one extreme to the next. Specially printed puzzles and games with your logo and information work really well, too.

Since you are trying to sell dog pet training service , i believe its better to give away something related to dog.
Maybe dog foods, dog toys, dog dress and so on . If your client really in dog business or love their dog , they would happy to get dogs related product.
