Home & Garden show profits?

Hola Warriors,

there's a show coming up next weekend. Question; what would you do if you went there as far as trying to make a profit but of course, also help them make profit as well.

There are 96 vendors, unfortunately with no links or addresses to each so that would have to be googled if you wanted to try to pre-sell.

Please give your best ideas that are actually doable,

thanks in advance,

Eva

B2C with flyer CPA offers or clickbank type products. See if you can get one of the vendors to hand them out in exchange for a commission. There was a thread about 2 years ago using this method.

Also cold walk the show. Go on the slowest day (normally the Wed or Thurs the show starts) as this will be the best time to talk to them. The person you need to sell to will likely not be there but you can get a good referral from the person at the show. Then call the right person and say that ____ from the show told you to give them a call.

      Always on the money Aaron!

I did not even think of going on the slowest day, thanks for that. I went to a fitness expo on the busiest day and FORGET about talking to anyone. Good tip, really appreciate it,

    Eva,

I think you are a little late, however, Bill Myers has an article on his site detailing how he made thousands of dollars at trade shows...it is worth joining for a month just for this article...no affiliation, but for 10 bux a month, best membership site online in my opinion.

We once sold a thousand "Money Trees" (small palm trees) from a display at a home and garden show. Had one money tree, decorated with real money, under glass and a fill out an entry form to win it. We also sold on site, but once the show was over, we sent everyone a letter telling them who won along with a promotion for these LUCKY money trees, which made great gifts.

Avg sale was 24.95 plus shipping. Paid nothing for the table, used a local grower, who supplied some of the palm trees.

I think you should visit a couple of times, on the slow days and the peak and do your homework, get all the names and addresses you can. Because...

this is one of those PARADE OF LIFE events which happen every year.

Good products for trade events are DVDs. Every year we have a Boat Show, an RV show, a couple of Home and Garden shows and if think a year ahead, and source or create some products, you could (and I know people who DO) work your butt off for 3 months and take the rest of the year off...(this couple travels to trade shows all over the country, sourcing products for North East Ohio).

Also, you might want to visit Mike McGroarty's site re: plants. Google Bill Myers and Mike McGroarty and pay them a visit.

If you come up with something quick, keep us posted, OK?

Read the thread referenced above from last year or 2011 about the guy with flyers and a Click Bank product.

In the case of the DVD, you could put 101 woodworking plans, and maybe offer 11 for free, on the cover...then once they opened the disc, they could purchase a key to unlock the other plans.

Bill Myers has a book on Kindle about buying a used RV, go look it up and see what else is being sold and you have a basic product method for any trade show...so google home and garden or some such query and see what is popular, search Amazon best sellers and look at what other people bought.

Then, you can contact the author, see if you can put their book on CD, or create your own product from all of this knowledge.

There are hundreds of trade shows, and the best way to create or find products is to attend them, get an event pass for all the days, and see what people are looking at. Use the time between shows, and develop products which are wanted, and DVDs and CDs don't spoil, ez and cheap to make and can be sold for the next year if you have excess inventory.

Does this help? If not ask here, so everyone can share. OK?

PS. Visit your local TARGET and read their ads, they have the best buyers in retail right now and have their marketing fingers on the pulse of American consumers. See what they feature in their ads, this is where we found the Money Tree, they were selling them for 19.95 a few years ago. Once you know what people are buying, then you create or ACQUIRE a similar product.

        Hi guys,

greatly appreciate your input, my biggest "problem" is the technical part, just getting overwhelmed by just thinking about it. I will just simply go there and see what will develop.

I was hoping to buy the wso by Dave Iago but that wso is closed.

Why do you need to buy the WSO? He outlines the whole process if you read all of the posts in the thread. There is nothing technical to it, except putting up a web page for whatever offer you want to promote and making a Paypal button, and maybe link cloaking.

You could even find some good PLR content and mash together a good offer of your own. This way you don't even need to find an affiliate offer.
Swipe the promotional salesletter from similar products, edit and mash to fit what you are selling. You can do this and put it together in less than 48 hours, if you want to. If you get stuck on something PM me, I will try to answer your question.

          Eva, you can do it.

Ok, I will give it my best shot. Guess I need some serious improvement in the self-confidence department... It is soooo easy to get over-whelmed by reading too many threads,

Aaron, you're welcome. I always remembered this thread because he outlines the whole process and I thought what he did was a very cool and simple way to make money. No bells, no whistles, just get paid.

I love stuff like that on these boards.

I know if I ever lost my job that within a day of searching threads on here I could find real ways to make money fast.

How about going around to the vendors, and offering to build them a website for their business?
