Do you give your bank account name and number to the manufacturer when you first dealing with them?

Acting as a import export broker, how would you settle the commission with the manufacturer? Would you simply just give them your bank account name and number? Would it be dangerous to do so if you first dealing with them?

Or it is safer to ask them to send you a check? If I bring the check to the bank and the bank found out that its a fake check, will they put me in jail? Sorry if I asked a dumb question..

In negotiating the broker commission with the manufacturer, usually at what point you start to mention about the commission fee? Right at the beginning when you introduce yourself or once you find a potential buyer or at the moment you send the pro forma invoice to the manufacturer..etc?

In most practice, as a broker, is it wise to charge a percentage of the overall transaction value or you mark up the price and take the difference? It appears that charging a percentage is much straight forward as you don't really have to taking into account of the other costs and stuff, am I correct?

Thanks!

I do give mine before and it was a great experience, you over-trust other people and then they give you a shit and stole your money.
