Is this business owner being sarcastic or does he want to know more?!

I am testing out a few different things with email for trying to sell a service (mobile sites) and I am currently testing a breaking the ice where I just ask them a question about there services

Then after they reply with a number/address, later in the day I said I called someone else/didnt need it then and could see how they may be loosing customers this way...

then I suggest I could show them for free for a week how to get more customers (just casually not like a sales person)

After sending this he just replied "Very good marketing, I like it"

Is he saying go away I'm not stupid? or may he be interested?...obviously he's not stupid!

I have just started testing this

Sounds like he likes it to me.

    Call him.

Making Calls To Sell Something? What are you actually saying?
Is there any room for improvement? Want to find out?

Years ago, I used a close I made up on the spot specific to my customer's situation. He said "That's a great close".

I said "Did it work?" (with look on my face like I hear it all the time)

He said "Absolutely". And I wrote it up.

    So.....
"Very good marketing. I like it"
    "Did it work?"
    "Yes"

Give it a shot. I always interpret a compliment as an overture to buying.

He's showing interest and you should move quickly with whatever the next step in your process is. I don't think he would have taken the time to write that if he didn't really like it especially since he knows by telling you that it's a chance of you sending him even more information that he doesn't want.

The only way you will find out if he is genuinely interested is by moving forward. No one here can guarantee that he is or he isn't, we don't know him. lol You can either call him if you have the number or email him again asking for his number so you can discuss the next steps. If he was being sarcastic you'll definately figure it out by the next conversation.
