Building sites for restaurants and cafe-shop

Hi, i hope you guys doing great

i live in morocco ,wich not really familiale with affiliates or anything called " money online " they just don't beleive in it and there's a lot of walls that the bank makes for e-commerce like they set a limit of $1k/ year to invest in your business, can u beleive that ? i mean what can u do with $1k ? that's exactly why i asked an international mastercard credit card from payonner ..anyway long story..

so i want to take advantage of that in my country , there's really 0 competition and a lot of popular restaurant and cafe-shop that doesn't really have a website

so i took a moment to learn wordpress + i gave a look to themeforest to see what they got for restaurant themes and they are really professional

so i was thinking to presente myself as a designer and programmer and bla bla
to those famous restaurant , of course i should talk like a professional and give a list of benefits that the site will give, you know i should convaince them and show them how they can break the competition and bla bla

i'm gonna take care of hosting, security and make sure the site will be runing
all the time with no downtime, updates for wordpress and themes and the whole work

so i'll be the Only one that give such services but i would like to know how much should i charge them ? i really don't want to go crazy or negatively, so if you were in my position in the same type of country , a lot of famou srestaurants and cafe-shop swithout a website and zero competition ?

How about using a Cost Plus pricing - in other words, work out how much you want to be paid for your time and then add extra to cover for marketing, other business costs, profit margin etc.

Basically that will give the lowest amount to charge then you can start to increase price slowly to establish price elasticity and then find out the highest price the market will actually bear.

I imagine your ultimate price will be somewhere in-between those two the lower and upper price points.

    Good luck.

Yeah, what a nice idea that's gonna be more professional, then they can choose what they want, just hosting and wordpress free theme ? or managing the hosting + paid professional wordpress theme , security or without security , and a lot of add-on, it's gonna be really professional and give the client more choices to choose from and i maight also talk like i have a team that it's gonna take care of his business " online " so this way , it's like i present my own company or something :p make it a big deal

hi ii would see what other webdesign companies in your country are pricing at you want to charge them for the initial website with say 2 weeks to make a decision on design so that it doesn't drag out and then charge them monthly for hosting the website and maintaining it with current posts and such you need to have control you own the domain you own the website if they miss a payment then you can take it down at anytime because most physical business don't understand much about what we do they are too busy running there biz so it is easy to sound like an expert i would recommend that you Google a guy name Jim cockrum and his site offlinebiz you can download a free book of question to ask your clients great info on how to set up this biz model you could also set this up with a partner seo company that will give you commisions or a cheap deal with somebody to do there social media or and then charge the restaurant more you don't have to stop at restaurants go to jhon jonas blog and listen to the interview with jim cockrum just search offline in the blog

Thank you very very much for your comment , it'is really rich of good informations
for designers in my country , there's not really much , there's one company that build sites for new companies and they charge them 5k to 7k i'm not sure if they use wordpress too or not, but it's still so expensive

i was thinking about the SEO too, but there will be too much restaurants to do SEO for and i'm gonna running out from keywords and i feel that it's not gonna work as much as with companies ,cause then i will have multiple fields to play with and a lot of different keyword to rank for

so i guess if really everything goes as planned , i'll really go for companies too and just present what i can do for them.

i'll definitely check that guy out ASAP, thank you very much for the source

i would start maybe to build a reputation go to your client and just see what want o get from being online they may just want to be on facebook or google maps each client will be different i would look at maybe $500 for your first clients website and maybe 500 per month depends you can talk with them tell them you are new and just starting so you will do a cheap deal maybe for a good recommendation or testimonial you will build from there up to 1500 to 2-3000 per site each client will want different things so that means different prices don't rely on seo fully your keywords will be related to that town suburb or city as long as you have that town name etc and get onto as many restaurant review sites as possible eg travel/trip advisor etc good luck too you

Yeah exactly, that's one of the steps that i would like to do, hearing the needs and the fears of the client, but i'll be well prepared to talk like an expert and suggest them a lot of add-on, to improve their site and to make their business reveal it's all power , and of course to raise the price a little bit
