Here's a simple intro script/strategy you can use as a verbatim method to uncover the REAL reason your prospects don't buy:

Hello, my name is David Jefferson calling from ABC Business

<explain your offer here, that you are calling regarding the DM piece you sent them and agreed to a follow up call in 3 months>

A few months ago you thought it would be better if we gave you a call around this time this year, things have been really busy around here as I'm sure it has been for you too, and I do apologize that it has taken us s a little longer than expected to come back to you.

<get them to accept this statement by pausing, make them say something like 'that's ok'>

But thank you for choosing to spend your time talking with me now.

David Do mind if I ask you, what were your thoughts on the offer?

David: Blah blah not interested

That's ok - just before you go do you mind if I ask why? Is it because it's taken us as a little while longer than expected to come back to you, oh I DO apologize for that as a I said.

And then.. and because that's kind of a shitty reason..

They'll immediately tell you why they aren't interested, and it will be the REAL reason because their emotions will be up and you are tempting them to prove you wrong.

Then they'll often start talking about their business, what its' real issues are if they have any.

Then you can start selling

    This is a really good strategy. Direct communication builds a relationship with a client. Saying "no" to someone you actually have a relationship with is much harder than saying "no" to, or ignoring, an email, direct mail piece etc.
