Offline - Need A Partner In Australia

Hi,

I am based in Dubai and I have a calling team. We target Australian small businesses In medical and home improvement verticals. We had a campaign ran for almost 2 months before we had to stop - The biggest reason we found that most of the locals hesitate in dealing with a foreign company.

Kindly reply if you are an Australian having a local company so my callers can call introducing your company.

Most of the time our closers will close the deal over the phone but if you are able to do that over the phone or in person then the closing ratio will be increased.

We can work out the finance once you are interested.

Best Regards

Mustafa

What is the problem then? Ask them to pay by paypal or escrow for personal peace of mind.

You can introduce yourself as a local company but if you don't sound local wouldn't you have the same problem??

Big Steve - No that is not the issue our callers have neutral accent so no issues there.

You could bring this objection by saying as you are based in Dubai you charge less, because most companies who are local outsource the actual work to countries like yours. This could work well, however, I have not tested this as I have not been asked about this. Most people simply do not care. In my last project I was asked about my location at the very end of completing the project and it was most out of curiosity than anything else.

You say your callers have a neutral accent...it may seem that way to you but I guarantee it is not.

I used to manage a large telemarketing room here in Australia.
Then they outsourced part of my division to India.
I had to monitor their calls as well as my own staff.
I was told that they had their best people on it.

    1. Accents were not neutral.
    2. Am Australian 90 second phone call took around 9-12 minutes from the Indian staff.
    3. The Indian staff had zero local knowledge but had been told to use some Aussie slang and that made it even worse.

So, yes it sounds like you do need an Australian company prepared to do the work for you IF you want to improve your results.

LOL! Hate to be a little contreversial... Hold on ... Yes I do... There is accents in Aus from one state to another.. spot poll = name the Australian states and territories in no particular order = YOU FAIL.

Aussie accents from different regions in Aus are just as different as the Liverpool accent in England is diferent from a Welsh Accent in the UK or a Russian trying to sell his latest "you bute plugin"

So get a frigan' Aussie or an Aussie thats migrated to a less fortunate region (at a higher rate than what you pay on O'desk) and you will get results.

Then , what we used to consider as "third world and we pay 2 bucks an hour" is gone and you need to step up and live in 2013

Get a Knob jockey on the phone in Aus and we can autamatically tell its from overseas because of
    1) delay
    2) usually biz owner in Aus answers phone and can immediately tell he/she not local as they don't call you by name, like " G'day Scotty, It's John Doe here and I just need a little info from you, is that ok?"

    Goes a long way,
    Hope that helps,

Not sure what you are asking, are you looking for an Australian web design company to outsource the actual work to and deal with the client, or work for you as a telemarketer?

I have a business in Australia that targets the home improvement vertical, PM me what you mean exactly and we can talk.

I did not say that our accents vary. I know they do but it is very different to Indians ringing Australia. Even many Indian accents in Australia have become slightly "Australian-ised" due to living here.

You said you are based in Dubai so it is fair to assume your callers are as well. You should clarify things before asking questions. There are similar issues with callers from the Philippines as well.
