Best Resource for finding the name of a business owner?

OFFLINE MARKETING

Right now I'm searching through a business's website or linkedin but I'm wondering if there's any resources for finding the name of a business owner. I know infofree will often give you the name but right now I'm using a scraped list.

I would really appreciate any help with this.

If you know the company name and where it is located the secretary of state website should show you some good info on the company

  I just call up and ask the receptionist, generally the fastest way. Worse case scenario, next time you call you can ask for the owner by name

Alternatively, you don't need to know the decision maker's name before you start.

You can use the "Little Unsure" method.

Yes i totally agree... give them a call and ask who the decision maker is. If your cold calling then you may as well speak to them if they are available...

Honesty cold calling is fine, just dont be like all the other sales people out there....

As a sidenote...most of the research you will do online - aside from wasting time as Jason pointed out - will net you incorrect names and titles. So you think you're doing well to call and ask for James Smith, the CEO, and he left a year ago, and now the receptionist knows you aren't a connection to who you are looking for.

Just pick up the phone, dial and ask. It's much more efficient and productive.
