Hi guys,

I am starting a new business which requires a sizeable database.

I am working on online methods at the moment but was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the offline side?

As a starting point I'm going to try handing flyers and leaving them on car windshields etc. plus potentially a maildrop of leaflets.

Thanks!

Craig

Hey Craig, Congrats on your new business. So what are you thinking of selling, I mean what product? Are you going to collect emails from those leaflets?

I just want to get this right. You are targeting businesses and want to try doing windshields, handouts and a mailer?

If that is the case, then doing windshields and handouts will not net you much at all since you can't target whose car you are putting it on. You will have no idea if they own a business or not, same with handouts (unless you are going to stand on a corner and ask).

The mailer option would work best out of what you mentioned if you target it to those businesses that would use your service. There are other ways to reach these businesses also, walk in, appts, commercials, email blast (which you can get emails by calling those that would be potential customers).

      Hi mate,

Apologies I wasn't clear about this. I am targeting the customer side at the moment in order to build the database so we have people ready to buy the deals!

Hi mate! Congratulations to your new business. Your offline strategy seems good for me. Aside from that I think you could distribute your flyers/leaflets to places that has a lot of people just like nearby events or even on malls. I think your offline strategy will be as good as your online marketing as offline targets people locally and directly. Good luck with your business mate.

You can always hire someone from Fiverr and have him/her post or hand out flyers....
