Selling on a Monday morning?

Is it not okay to make sales calls on a Monday morning?

I just called a restaurant owner who stopped me and said 'no sales calls on monday morning'.

Should I call later or tomorrow?

    Monday mornings have always been difficult days to prospect businesses. Put yourself in the perspective of a busy business owner on a Monday morning; the last thing they want to do is talk to a "telemarketer" about buying products/services.

    Although, between 8-9am has been found to be one of the best times to reach business owners, with around lunch time being the worst.

    What's the best day to cold call? Studies have shown Thursdays to be the best day, with Fridays being the worst.

    About 35 years ago, my cousin stopped calling on his customers on Mondays....
    His theory was that after the weekend they had to fix all the problems that the weekend employees caused...
    or just get started for the week.....

    He started working on Saturday mornings and reported good sales....

    I have used that method in many business situations and found people more receptive...)

    Mondays after 11 is good for us. ( real good ) so is after 1 ish

    So is Saturdays after 8 before 3 pm est.

    Perhaps .... it is simply the niche.

    I call from monday til sunday, people who needs or wants to buy and interested on your product does not chose what time and what day they want to have have it.

    I've always had great results on a Monday. I would say it's the best day of the week for us.

    I try to avoid making appointments on Mondays, bc in my niche emergenc¡es are taken care of on Mondays and they have a high cancellation rate. However, Mondays are great for prospecting. Just because one mediocre business owner told you off doesn't mean you can't be productive.
