Anyone have an idea on how to do this?

My main aim is NOT to lose current e-mails.

    Hello
You are not risking the emails by simply changing the website design unless you are moving to a new server completely. You should remove the old site files and make a back up. I guess the site is not so complex is it..? Once removed properly install WordPress and move the old text and images in a very organized way keeping SEO in mind specially when you create new pages etc make sure the already indexed urls/links do dissapear, this s very imporant, they should stay live or redirected in worst case scenario. Otherwise the site could lose all their rankings i Google if they hold any. etc.

Another way to do it is to simple outsource the task to a proper web development agency, or PM'me I would be happy to take a look and provide more accurate advice.

    All the best

Same domain = no effect to emails
Same domain, new host = old emails will be gone (backup them), create new emails on new host.

Create the new website on development domain, for example your domain, not client's domain. After it's finished, replace old site with new one
