Hello Warriors,

I am about to start email marketing campaign so like to give a test run with MailChimp. I have already heard some bad reviews about MailChimp @ Mail Chimp Sucks! and also shared List of some reliable Email Marketing Network after reading the bad review.

I have also known that MailChimp is the only service provider who is giving users to run email campaigns for free which is very helpful for newbies like me.

So need your valuable suggestion regarding this issue.

regards

Looks like you just posted this to siphon traffic to through your signature link to a competing forum.

So if you believe in quality, which is an insinuation that being here is of lower quality then why the hell are you even posting over here if not to try and get more traffic to the other competing forum? Please answer that?

Excuse me sir, Now you are just pissing me off. Did I say anywhere in my thread that warrior forum is of lower quality? Warrior forum is a very high quality forum thats why we all are here. Its true that we are trying to make our forum - OMF a better place to have discussion regarding Offline Marketing. Did I tell you to join?

Emphasis added. Clearly it eludes to this forum as being of lessor quality. Or is English not your first language? Wondering now.

I've been using MailChimp for a while now and like it. Simple, easy interface and good service.

I started using it, but it gets pricey pretty quick once you get subscribers, especially I think once you cross 10k email subscribers. Once it was $70/month for me I cut my losses and actually went to a self-hosted solution since I have a good tech team that could set that up for me.

But MailChimp is good if you don't have a list and you want to get started for free ASAP.

If you have over 10ks in subscribers....$70 a month, is a drop in the bucket for that.

Mailchimp is great for new IMers. If you have a substantial list, I'd suggest switching over to aWeber. That's what I ended up doing it and it's been great!

I have a plan to do so as they will take $19 per moth. But for $19 per month how many subscriber can I handle? can I send emails to more than 10k?

      Indeed !
Self hosted solution would be one great solution. I would think of doing such thing when I got huge email lists. Can you tell us how much does it cost per month?

Well, I think Mailchimp is quite good for beginers (since it provide free service with quite good quality. If you want to use their autoresponder service (with your limited budget), you can buy prepaid package as well (so, you dont have to pay fee monthly). Good luck!

To be honest, we haven't had any issues with MailChimp and we're using them with several local clients including a restaurant that gets email sign ups daily.

No issues so far with their email system.
