Which Is Truer When Selling?

1. You cannot change a buyer's desires; you can only demonstrate a better method of satisfying those desires.

2. If you start tapping into the bubbling wellspring of want already within your prospect it is possible to let them make the sale for you.

Off-Liners, which is truer for you?

we could change a buyer's desire but still not too much. you should try it little by little. so then you could be a trendsetter. but it takes time. the second sentence sound truer for me.

#1 is true and is actually the best way to get a client to want and trust your services.

In the fact-finding process you have to get your client to open up about their desires, ie. increase revenue, get more leads, sell more chocolate ice cream.

You then ask the business owner if he has ever thought about xyz to achieve this goal.

Then you make it his idea:

'John, based on our conversation, we agree that adding an email marketing funnel to your website can be an effective way to turn new customers into repeat buyers.'

By doing this, you will meet his desires and align your plan with his/her goals.
