My name vic and am from Nairobi, Kenya. I have been around for sometime and just as many newbies, i got my fair dose of sos and its now time for me to make a decision and take action.
I have identified a great opportunity for building websites for offline clients. I already know how to find them and I believe they will be willing to pay for my services. So what is it that I need?
Will someone please suggest to me where I can get very clean but simple wordpress themes that would be suitable for lawyers, dentists and real estate agents? I really need to do simple but clean sites.
Thanks in advance your suggestions.

Lawyers, dentists & real estate agents are all professional services, and I can't imagine most of them liking the fact that you're only customizing a theme for theme. Most will want a custom design - which is good because you can charge these industries premium rates.

Totally agreed. They need custom sites to express their personal brand. Personally I have designer that I pay more than the coder who puts it into Wordpress. A nice unique site makes all the difference.

    Hi there,

You can find plenty of theme suggestions here on this forum.

What is it that you need?

You need to be a salesperson and be able to go to them and offer them something they want/need.

What business experience do you have?

    All the best,

    Sasha.

If you build your business right, you'll be able to find a design team that can build sites affordably, save you time and also give you custom sites for your clients.

Buying themes and trying to do it all yourself is not a long-term strategy that will give you the type of business you want.

Let me google that for you

Also, should you decide to go this route, there are themes for each of these, I think, available at Theme Rabbit - Premium Wordpress Themes.

Have you taken a look at the dentist theme?

I can't believe they have that picture in the slider and in fact it's the only picture! Doesn't it make you want to run down and see the dentist?

        hehehe

No, I actually hadn't paid much attention to it. I've used a couple of their other themes though.

That is pretty comical though. And odd.

It seems like you're not taking any action.

Knowing is not enough, you HAVE TO TAKE ACTION!

And instead of asking around on the forum for themes, go FIND IT YOURSELF. There are plenty out there.

My best advice is work with 1-2 clients and see how you can deliver. You'll learn as you DO things.

We learn to ride a bike by riding and falling. We will never learn by just reading and with great ideas.

    Just my two cents.

    Best of luck to you!

Of all the 'guru's' and 'experts' around here. This guy gives the best advice...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you people spent half the time taking action as you do reading the forum, you WOULD see results.

The "Care" theme (not aff link) found in ThemeForest works for all the industries you mentioned and if you are skillful enough, you can customize it to each client you get.

Hope that helps and good luck!

Nonsense. Don't listen to these guys at all.

These professionals don't have a clue what themes are out there and will not know the difference between a theme and full custom.

You don't have to use a theme exactly as is, you can customize a lot of aspects. It can be a great starting point because the robustness and features of modern themes is simply awesome.

You are just getting started- forget the themes at first - GO MAKE THE SALES FIRST. Then you have to figure out what theme to use.

Stop researching, searching, looking, planning, and organizing.

Just go sell - and then work out the details. This is how you will stop being broke.

Unless you are a great designer the custom site will look worse then a customized theme. Agree with Dan. Those two are offering bad advice.

A customized theme will work for the majority of cases. And honestly I don't thuink there are too many people on this forum that should be tackling the cases where it doesn't. Those kind of projects are beyond the skill level of web design noobies.
