Please help me with the business term/process

Doong research on joint ventures and working with small business to white label their products. Basically, if they have a service for $300 a month I would sell it but add my own $200 to $300 a month by being the middle man and also adding my own knowledge and input to the project. I thought this was called being a small business broker but is there another term I should be researching?

Joint venture broker might be more accurate.

Usually the term "small business broker" is used for people
who help to sell a business.

You might also be a "small business commerce facilitator" or
any other wanky term you want to invent.

If you tell business owners you help them bring in more sales
    that will get their attention.

    Kindest regards,

    Hi there,

Rather than get caught up on the term why don't you just focus on getting the business. "President" works well if titles are your thing....

    All the best,

    Sasha.

Thanks! I thought the same thing after I posted this. My goal was just to ser how others set up such a business inthe past but now I'm just going to get the business an worry about titles later. If very one is making money we can themselves whatever they want.

I believe the term would be best described as joint ventures. If your business continues success - that's what is important.

If you are selling their white label service - then it is your service. The customer never knows they exist. If the company knows they are not the same as you - it is not white label.

I think the term you are looking for is Value Added Reseller. But your clients don't need to know much about that. Just represent yourself and sell the service.

Reseller would be the basic term but you would never use it with clients.

You would just talk about the work "your team" could do for them.

Being a reseller isn't bad the world is full of resellers. I mean you don't think Walmart makes their own merchandise do you? Hell in the retail world they not only have retailers (B2C) but wholesalers (B2B) which are resellers.

The thing to remember with service reselling is that you have to trust the company whose service you are reselling. If things go bad you can't blame them as your clients believe and expect (correctly I might add) that you and your company are handling it.

This is the reason that I often suggest employees (or 1099) vs. the standard outsources at least once you build your business.
