Figuring Out How Much A Potentiel Customer is Spending On PPC Ads?

Hey Warriors,

I Was wondering if there was a way to find out how much are advertisers spending on PPC ads?

The Reason I wanted to know... is because that's how i'll kinda sell on how much I will charge monthly for seo.

Thanks

If PPC is working why would I want to stop and shift that money to SEO?
If PPC isn't working why would I want to spend that money on SEO vs. TV or direct mail that I know works?

Just food for thought with what you are setting up by using a either or selling method.

it doesn't work that way...blind company spending $10k-$15k per month on PPC..you gonna charge $10k per month on SEO? I don't think so.

Just find out avg PPC and kw search volume and you figure it out man..not hard and show them why SEO will bring Positive ROI.

Tools such as spyfu/keyword spy give you some information. Figure out how much their keywords cost per click. If it is a high cost and this client has lots of money, then you could possibly assume that they spend $150 to $1000, maybe more a month. Truthfully, you can only get their exact amount of spending by calling them.

If you are so confident that, your seo services are good, then call them and either convince them over the phone or meet them. Show the benefits of seo vs ppc and show tons of proof and how they will get new clients. If you can do this, they will gladly switch.

Majority of businesses, lose so so much money with ppc. They run campaigns and have no clue what is going on. Their keywords are not fully targeted, their landing pages are not optimized for conversions and in the end it is dollars wasted.

High end markets pay huge amounts of money for ppc, doctors, lawyers, chiros. It is a safe bet to assume, that these people pay tons for ppc and not many get the conversions they desire.

I use to do consulting for a pharmacy and I was using keywords that were very targeted, with a bunch of negative keywords to make the campaign even more targeted. The landing pages. were never optimized and I had no permission to do anything and I told them this a thousands time(we need, to optimize the landing pages), they refused and we parted ways. They still kept using PPC with same landing pages....

PPC can be costly, but seo is not all that reliable either in my opinion...

    Good luck!
