anyone doing mobile websites?

With mobile expanding like crazy I know there are tons of businesses that don't have a website tailored to mobile. How much do you guys charge for a standard mobile website? Also, is there a way to see which businesses have one already and which don't?

There are several sites that let you check what a website looks like on a mobile phone.

I charge around $297 at the lowest and $497 at a maximum. But it is very easy for me to charge $697 if the client wants a lot done on the site.

Feel free to ask me some questions in my PM if you'd like.

  • Yea like IM1 said, it all depends on how much work your client wants on the mobile site. But there are so many small businesses out there that don't have any sort of mobile presence, and this is the most exciting part. Because once 50% of small businesses in a certain niche have gone mobile... The other 50% are going to be forced to acquire mobile services or else they will be left behind!

He's the best I know when it comes to cold calling and few minutes with him on the Phone/Skype will boost your knowledge and confidence by a lot. The concept he teach can be applied in all areas, not only through phone.
You could also try direct mail to get clients.it's something I am considering to get into the next few weeks.
    Good luck in your journey!

If your looking to make real money don't listen to anyone on here, no offense, about what they charge.

Learn how to show a business owner how much value (revenue, customers etc) a mobile website can bring him on a monthly and yearly basis. Show them and prove to them that number and you can sell for $1500-2500 easily.

      Well said Max about value.

Show them VALUE first. A mobile website is just one piece of the puzzle.

Their pain point is usually getting more customers/business. If a mobile website is the prescription to stop that pain, they'll buy it.

I'm no pro, just starting to see this in my business. Identify the pain & provide the cure.

      Hope that makes sense.

  • Not only do you need to show value... I agree with that. But you also need to show the business owner that mobile is the solution he has been looking for! Who can argue that mobile advertising is by far the most personalized advertising medium there is?

Business owners stripedfor a day where tthey could send out an ad to a specific customer and make sure it actually reaches that person.... Now that day is here, but they are blind to how it benefits them. They need to look at in the long run but also you need to show them how it is going to bring them more sales!

The above recommendations John and Jason gives are extremely helpful.

Make them WANT THE WEBSITE as if they lose customers if they lose out on buying from you!
