"Am I the only one that's tired of getting clients the hard way?..."

Hey Offliners,

A few months ago, I kinda got burnt out and needed some time to recharge my batteries.

So, I took a week off and really begin to think about how I could start to work less, but still keep my income level the same or grow it even more.

That's when I really begin to focus on webinars. Now, they're not the cure for every offline marketing issue, but they do allow us to leverage ourselves without going crazy.

Then next thing I did was start to really get serious about approaching associations for the industries that I want to target.

See, for me it's about lifestyle design.

I would rather do a two hour workshop or webinar each week and be in front of 30-50 business owners, than solely relying on one-to-one marketing strategies.

Don't get me wrong though, you should always continue to do both. I'm just talking about using maximum leverage.

So, like any good marketer, I was doing research on my target market. In this case, trade associations.

That's when I came across this newest book by Robert Skrob (of Information Marketing Association) called - Your Association Shortcut: The Definitive Guide for Generating Customers Through Associations.

This is a brand new book released this month and it is truly a gem. Here's a small sample of the book that caught my eye.

- Why it's so important to market to the members and not to the generic association. And how to do it right.

- How to build a niche marketing plan to completely own any association you choose to target.

- The secrets to positioning yourself as someone associations eagerly want to work with.

- How to position yourself as a consultant that the association wants to give a personal endorsement to.

- His own personal step-by-step blueprint for getting full access to a associations members fast.

So, after reading the book twice, I can tell you that it's filled with valuable content that I think any offline marketer can use.

You can simply head over to Amazon.com and type in "Your Association Shortcut" and it will pop right up.

Pick up a copy today on Amazon while it's still on sale for $4.95. It will definitely open your eyes to how you can and should approach associations

Now, go sell something,

Chris

    Sounds like a good read.

Something else to keep in mind is - it's also a great position of leverage to be the head of an association.

Starting your own group, locally or online, can put you in a position of status, trust, and power.

Never bad things to have when you want to land big clients

Thanks Chris. This looks lie a fantastic way to market through associations. I know Robert Scrob. He knows a lot about associations, and taught a seminar on how to form your own as a marketing strategy.

I just bought the book. Can't wait to read it.
