Ideas for selling office stationary

Hello friends...
My friend is planning to start the selling the office stationary business. He will sell office stationary like pen, promotional gift items, printer, cartridge, copier etc. He is working on his website but I think offline marketing will work in this kind of business. Can anyone share the ideas for selling office stationary?

    For this type of business to business, there is no need for a website,
    especially as a start up.

    My main business supplies essential
    paper receipt rolls to household names
    and lots of smaller businesses.

    I have no website and my customers phone or email
    in their orders.

    He just needs to get on the phone and
    use this script... it's what used to get the companies seen in
    my signiture link.

    "Hi Mary, who should I be talking with there
    about getting you a better deal on your
    office products please?

    When your friend gets to speak with the buyer,
    say...

    "Joe I'm calling to see if I can get you a better deal on your office products."

    Then your friend and buyer see if they can come up
    with an arrangement.

    Simple and easy as that.

        On a serious note....Is he selling to local businesses? Why not offer seminars or workshops on the importance of "branding". Of course the products he sells help are perfect for that. I don't recommend a sales pitch seminar. Provide some real information, then state that his company helps companies with present a professional and consistent image.
