How do I contact the author of a book (for a JV)?

Hi, I'd like to contact a few book authors in my niche for a possible joint venture promotion. I'm not sure how to get ahold of them though; does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks

Yes - I have been able to get through to several high profile authors. Very high profile. I could say two of them and most people here would instantly recognize them.

Even at the very high-profile level, it is not that hard. Look up their website - there is always contact info. Call the office. Even the most high profile author probably has one person who answers the phone and can connect you directly to them.

Just explain what you want and they will pass it on. It really is simple. This same tactic has worked for CEO's of large companies and even a billionaire. Just pick up the phone, sometimes you can just get in.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Yup. Most people think authors have lavish offices with hundreds of employees. Most are either one man acts or they have a single person helping them. Authors love to get calls, reviews, interviews...attention of any kind.

They are just like you or me.

You can also go to the amazon author page to get information on the rest of their online presence.
