LinkedIn Lead -- City Website

Just some background on how I got this lead. I do a lot of Social Media Marketing through LinkedIn, Twitter, & Facebook. This lead was my football (real football, not handball) coach when I was in High School and is now a Director of Parks and Recreations for a city. For those of you not using SMM, use it! You'll be surprised with the amounts of leads you'll get from people you know just because you're sharing the fact that you redesign websites or convert their websites to be 'Google Friendly' (no SEO jargon needed!)

Anyway, he sent me this message below -- It seems that they just need the website redesigned using the same content, just a different feel to it. There seems to be about 40 pages or less -- what would you charge?

I was thinking of packaging a deal this way:

1. Website redesign
2. Mobile Website
3. Facebook & Twitter Page design

Because of the amount of content, I was thinking about a price of $4997.00 -- What are your thoughts? It will cost me about $1500 - $2000 to outsource all of this.

    Since it will cost you between $1,500-$2,000, simply charge $500-1000 more to have your foot on the door. This will surely open more business for you.

      I definitely agree with you -- This should open a lot of doors for me since people know people and the word will spread. I just want to make sure that I am also getting paid for my time and energy as I will be managing this project.

    Well done Abel! Your using Linked In correctly and to the maximum potential. It's a great lead generation site and people are responsive in there. The secret is to join as many 'targeted' groups as possible.

    Your pricing seems fair for the jobs that you have do. Maybe even offer a monthly maintenance charge.

    This is the advantage of LinkedIn. People are more serious here and you can target better. With the right approach, you'll see great results. I also agree with the $500 - $1000 price range. Good luck!

      You guys are probably right. This is an awesome way to get into the door and put my business out there to thousands of people. Especially if the mayor falls in love with the website, he'll be able to refer me to other counties as well.
