How to Write GREAT FAQ Pages For Better SEO, Page Views, and Results

I wanted to share this blog post from Marcus Sheridan, The Sales Lion. I feel given the number here who handle SEO and Web Design for local clients that this can really hit home.

How to Write GREAT FAQ Pages For Better SEO, Page Views, and Results

I really think not only is this method better for SEO but it is also better for the prospect. They find the answer and get a much better long answer vs. a short FAQ type of answer. It is a win win for all. And more proof that good prospect friendly design and content is some of the best SEO you can do.

What are your thoughts on this?
Do you include FAQ on sites you design?
If so how often do you use the typical one page FAQ design?

Great share! I am a big fan of his. I do not have a FAQ page, but after reading this, I think it is something to consider.

He preaches being honest and I think the industry we are in, can go a long way. I used an idea of his a few months ago and it has been successful for me.

If any Warriors haven't read his ebook on his site, I recommend stop doing what you are doing and grab it. It is better than 99.9% of any product I've purchased. I read it over the holidays last winter and couldn't "put it down"

"It" being my phone, of course.

This might be a little off topic, but I do something similar for my Local SEO clients.

When trying to rank your for Local SEO, you have to target the city in which the location of the business is actually located in. But, when there are some larger cities within a X mile radius that my client wants to try to rank for...one thing I like to do is create "Direction Pages".

So, instead of creating an FAQ page to help with SEO, I create direction pages to help with local SEO.

I just started reading and listening to his stuff last week. It makes total sense to me. I've already published 3 blog posts according to his methods with a few more coming down the pike. Results aren't in yet.
