How would you set this lead generation process up?

A friend of mine is starting a business brokerage office.

Business brokers act as one that helps business owners sell their business. The life blood of this business is getting listings. Like a real estate agent.

He wants to set up lead generation online. What are some things that he could possibly do for lead generation?

Thanks.

Put a short, concise report together that details out the process / benefits for the seller (many have no clue what's involved). Get a great ecover design made for the report, some compelling benefits bullets and a short, upbeat video summarizing the benefits of your report.

Set this up as a squeeze page, with x% discount coupon code (as an extra signup perk) to inspire the seller to choose your services over the competitors. Hope this helps!

Local PPC to a white paper about how to value and sell a business.

    The people who respond...perfect prospects.

Even better, have the white paper printed into a physical document to be mailed to them.

Of course in the future he calls them and tries to get an appointment.

Some of our white papers have worked wonders when executed correctly.

I like what Dan has said.

I would offer a valuation software.
Let them get an idea of what there business worth.
From there offer the opportunity to learn more about what is involved with selling a business through a report or auto-responder emails.

Now, the ones that contact your friend have a good idea of what to expect in terms of price and process. This would hopefully weed out the people that spent their whole life building a job and not a business. The one's that would get pissed at a low but proper valuation. Also, have people that understand the process to move things forward quickly.
