Does Your Client Providing Content?

I am finally branching out offline. I have a client in Financial Services--not my forte! I've been working building her presence of her site and her social media property by putting out fresh content, and I'd like to do more with her newsletter and videos.

So I've asked her for content and offered to make videos with her but she's too busy. OK, so I cull or pay for content for other sources, but she is not comfortable with some of the info I put on facebook.

What do you do for creating content for clients?

I need to decide if this is going to be a bad situation that I need to end.

Financial services is a regulated industry, so you have to get up to speed on the industry and be careful about staying within the regs - or outsource to someone who has specific industry experience.

Also, maybe the reason she is "too busy" is because she realizes you don't have the industry background she needs? Have a frank conversation about why she hired you, what you can do for her, and what she and you want to do now.

Before I start to work I talk to my clients on the phone - we usually figure what keyword to target and what content to do. After that I'll write it and send it to her - if you have to do all and everything for her, you'd be hired full-time. I mean it is nice of you to put in so much effort but if she is too busy to build up a site she might simply not do it.
i know it sounds hard but i don't mean bad, i just mean - if you do the work anyway, do it for yourself

Content is a big key to consider. Each business person may want you to do it a certain way. One thing is for sure; you need to know how to communicate and see which topics you would like to hit first and foremost. Each business has a specific form of hitting their businesses ideas. If you know how to communicate and speak with your client via email or phone, you'll get to come up with the right ideas.

Once you both agree on what content to write about, things will get much easier for you to come up with different variations of what your client wants.

    Bst of luck
