Voice Broadcasting

I want to try VB with my house cleaning business to generate leads. I've read a lot about it here and I would like to do a test market using it. Looking for some ideas as to why to say.. I'd like to keep the message 30 sec but should I offer a special? Having problems coming up with what exactly to say. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    If you are creating an ad of some sort, I would recommend doing some split testing.

    Do up to 3 recordings and send each out with the same amount of traffic.

    Find out which 3 have been giving you the best results by tracking your results

    Been cleaning houses for many years. You can't do B2C for residential cleaning like that, unless of course you want to get nailed and create a bad reputation.

    By the way, you've been a member of the GCA for years, right? I know I've seen your logo there, and I just searched you there. There is a ton of cleaning specific marketing information there. You should be able to find some things there to help you get the word out.

      I've been doing Voice Broadcasting for a while. I get the typical complainer, but that's it.... Remove me from your list type complaint but that just goes with the territory. There's nothing illegal about it if you follow the rules. Just make sure your message is kosher. You're cleaning against the National Do Not Call list, etc... I have used MessageCommunications.com for my calls in the past, it costs roughly 7/10ths of a penny per minute. Comes out to around $70 to do 10,000 calls. I get about 30 calls and close around 3-4 people.

        consent for all autodialed or prerecorded telemarketing calls to wireless numbers3 and residential lines4
        and accordingly eliminate the established business relationship exemption for such calls to residential
        lines

        You must have expressed written consent to send voice broadcasts to residential lines. It doesn't matter if one is on the do not call list or not. Well, if they are, you might be in bigger trouble should someone get upset.

          I don't disagree with what you're saying, i'm just saying that there are a lot of ways to get around these laws. For example, calls to businesses are exempt, "Job Offers" are not problematic, basically any call that can be worded for "Information Purposes" are exempt form almost ALL telemarketing laws. The other thing is that the fines / penalties if you do run against some of these laws are laughable... seriously, $500 dollars is a penalty? I'm willing to risk it. Like I said in my earlier post, i've tried a bunch of these companies, they're all the same except for the pricing and the features.

            The penalty is $500 - $1500 per call. That can quickly add up.

            B2B calls, political calls, debt collection calls are exempt. You also have to be careful not to call cell phones.

            An acquaintance of mine felt the same way about fax broadcasting. He asked my opinion and I sent him a copy of the law, and info on court cases, where violaters had been sued. He went ahead anyway.

            Cost him a few thousands of dollars in fines and attorney fees. Plus he was out the two grand he paid to do the fax broadcast.

            As a side benefit, it raised his profile with the authorities.

            Outstanding.

            We all have a different pain threshold. Personally, I don't like tanglin' with the 800lb. gorilla. Some people just gotta have a dance with him, though. That's how they learn.

    I am happy OP that you are continuing to further your business doing all kinds of advertising. I think voice broadcasting would be a smart idea.

    Definitely go with the idea of making 3 different types of recordings, and then ask us again which we would like to hear most. Or, you can ask your current clients which one draws them in more and tell them that you will give them a 10% discount if they tell you their honest opinion.

    Why not simply mail out post cards to those in your target market area and allow them to complete a survey to qualify for a discount or special offer. The client could go online to complete the survey and give complete contact info (including phone number, etc) and that would give you permission to make a live call, rather than pre-recorded.
