Services that creates residual income

Hey guys,

I need some of your knowlege. I would like to find out if there are any services that I can offer tho offline clients that will create residual income? Do you guys have any ideas?

I am currently working a fulltime job and building websites on the side, also hosting. My idea is that hosting websites for a monthly fee will bring me some passive income, but the reality is that one can only manage a limited amount of websites. I am looking for something that will give me freedom, and not another "job".

So my question is, what services are there out there that can create residual income? It does not even have to be in the online or internet arena.

How someone has some suggestions!

I am not sure if this is appropriate for forum rules, so you can send me a private message for additional info...

    You could:

    1. Build a SaaS product and have it subscription based fees.
    2. Partner with or market an existing SaaS product that offers commissions on the monthly subscriptions but make sure your agreement is payouts for the life each account you sell.

Both of these options will generate recurring revenue as long as customers stay and use the SaaS product. I personally went with option #1 above and desperately looking for those interested in option #2 above!

I have several clients who help local businesses with their SEO... and charge a recurring monthly fee.

So, they basically keep adding content and fine tuning their clients sites... to ensure they're likely to stay near the top of Google.

I myself license out marketing campaigns to local businesses like dentists, personal trainers, realtors, etc... and they have to re-up every year if they want to continue using it.

What I do is update the campaign for them every year, so it's fresh.

But working with local businesses with their SEO and marketing... you can usually help them on a recurring basis and be paid monthly for it.

But just make sure that what you're doing actually DOES need to be done every month and that you're doing it.

Bottom line, if you can prove to the clients that you're making them money... they'll keep paying.

I usually show my clients that investing $1,000 per month is bringing them $5,000 or more in new business, or something like that.

Just show a consistent positive ROI and there's no reason for them not to keep you on a retainer basis.

    • There must be other services to charge monthly for rather than just SEO and hosting.

I like the Saas idea, its just finding the Saas companies thats the hard part.

Come on WARRIORS rack your brains haha

If you don't come up with anything better than hosting, you can remove yourself completely by signing up as an affiliate - dreamhost definitely did (not sure if they still do) offer a monthly residual option. I'm sure others do as well.

Hosting clients are great, they usually stick around for years and years. If you aren't up for doing support or billing, the affiliate road is the way to go.

Your lead offer should be SMS text service for local businesses.
I have built a entire business around just this service and the best part is once you get a client you have a client for life ...

There is a FSO on forumspecialoffers.com which is like a WSO, it teaches this and many more strategies to get paid over and over ...

This is a VERY important question.

Having dealt with probably more internet marketers selling
their services than anyone else over the past 5 years I can
tell you that the ones succeeding are doing one of two things:

    # Charging multi thousand dollar fees to create or overhaul
    websites.

    # Charging ongoing fees for various services in the $500 to
    $2,000+ range.

    # Or both of the above.

There are MANY services you can charge ongoing fees for including:
    # Email marketing
    # SEO
    # Pay per click advertising
    # Facebook advertising

    # Social media marketing
    # Google places optimization
    # Marketing with online video

    # Any combination of these and anything else that has ongoing value
to the businesses you're working with. If it brings in customers on a
regular basis you can charge for it.

Keep in mind that a client paying you $500 a month that you retain is
worth $6,000 a year to you.

    At $1,000 a month that's $12,000 a year.

When you're charging good monthly fees and really looking after your
clients you can build your business up to a nice stable income quickly.

    Kindest regards,
    Andrew Cavanagh
