I just started a new blog, and have been blogging 4 or 5 times per week. 15 minutes per day tops & my traffic has gone from zero, to 25+ unique hits per day. The average length of stay is over 9 minutes and the average visitor clicks on 3 or 4 pages and I'm generating about 5 new signups on my optin page per day. That's pretty good considering I just started putting a LITTLE bit of effort into it a few weeks ago. This isn't life changing stuff, but it's proof that taking action does work.

The point is, do something, many things work. It's a matter of testing, refining, retesting & finding what works for your business.

What a waste of a thread.

Just another example of a lazy newb cluttering up the forum with garbage cause they can't use a simple search function.

If you have never generated traffic before and have no idea what you're doing. You should take the next 3 days to do nothing but research WF. Find what people are doing, then just copy it for your own benefit. Its really that simple.

If you consider the fact that this question has been asked over 100,000 times (I'm guessing) then there are TONS of answers right here on this forum. God gave you a brain for a reason. Use it.

9) Advertisements
10) Submit Your Website To Search Engines
11) Post Content At Regular Intervels
12) Quality Content

Also get some followers, the more followers you have, the more it will entice other people to become followers! Keep them coming back for more!

I'd suggest you have to try to lead people to your website. If you have a Facebook page for example, I think it's very good to make a link to your website, so that people might see it.
You can also make use of SEO and SEA but that isn't for free I guess.

Since you were so generic on how you want to go about generating traffic, paid or free well you know what I mean there is nothing in this world free.

Why don't you go over to fiverr and get some ideas from some of the gigs that you can buy that can get you instant traffic for cheap.

I would also think about doing some media buys if I was in your shoes...

Social media can get you faster traffic and may take less time than any other methods. But unfortunately driving traffic to website is like the blood in humans. It takes time traffic. Seo,directories,articles,forums,blogs,commenting etc...which will take you time to generate traffic.

While there is no new way that I have found to get traffic to your website, the old tried and true ways still work. However, there is a better way to do it, because to be honest, most of the old ways are tedious and time consuming.

That is why I suggest you take these most tried and true ways of getting traffic and speed up the process, by getting others to do the work for you. So you should look into outsourcing.

The easy and cheapest way to make outsourcing work, is to use fiverr.com.
I would take an article that I got written and then I would have someone from fiverr send it to multiple article directories.

I would have You Tube videos created and then have someone on fiverr syndicate the videos.

I would have someone create me a PR and then have it sent out to PR directories.

I would get someone to go and make blog comments on my behalf. While also doing it as well.

I would have accounts set up on Social Media sites and have my link blasted on them, without spamming so to speak.

Think out the box and have flyers created for you, with your web address on it and have someone of fiverr hand it out the library, colleges or just places where many people come together.

Have some business cards made and then hand them out to everyone you meet and leave some in different places that you visit.

These are just some of the ways, but I'm sure this is enough to get you going.

To increase traffic to your website it's very important to create valuable content that is worth reading and that will be shared with others. The way to this is to be an expert within your niche and write high quality and informative articles that you visitors will consider you an expert in the subject. Once you have created good quality content share it with social bookmarking sites. I have had success with Reddit, Stumble upon, and Delicious. I shared a blog post on a site through Reddit that attracted over 500+ visitors to the article. In addition, Branding your business online is another important factor to bring in more traffic. Key ways to do this is give a lot of thought when writing your "about us" page. Also integrate social media into your site. Add facebook like buttons, start a dynamic blog and build your site with heavy links. It sounds like a lot of work but it will pay off in the end.

Write your blog on offline mode then print it out, copied it around 1000 times, use it as flyers and put it at the table on the starbucks, coffeebean or something.. Its a marketing or blog campaign if you looking a very high potential listing in the ass.. Yeahh.. U should try some..

I done mine and now I'm their worst nightmare..

I see lots of tips and if you go to Amazon you can get a book called 500 ways to drive traffic to your site. It all misses the point though.

It does not matter what you do if there is not a hot market for what you are selling.

FInding a sellers market is the key and is not an easy endeaver and is why there are mostly employees and not owners in the world.

I would be willing to help you take a look at what you are doing of you like. No charge. I do a free consults but I bet if you really find the question that people dont KNOW they want the answer to and you can show them then you will have something.

Maybe you do and it just needs exposure but usually the people will find it after awhile so do not give up if you believe perisist!!

Hi metricrank . There are a lot of ways to draw in visitors to your website. You do not have to spend tons of money at first for promotions. Just like a lot of people have said in this forum, the first thing that you can do is to go to social media. You can turn to facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. Your choice. If you have time, post your website in all of them. If not, choose one and make sure to build them by using landing pages. You can also create your own blogs directing the links to whatever it is you are selling. Good luck out there.

Your site is not getting traffic because your content is probably not important or useful enough.
Raise the bar, help people, entertain them, change their lives, inspire your readers to more action.
If you were, your audience would grow.
No doubts in my mind.
I’m not saying “if you build it, they will come.”
Get the word out about your content but you need this good content first.
