Is anyone here selling PPC management services here? Is it scalable enough to do it full time?

Yeah there's a number of services that sell PPC management. Are you asking if selling PPC services is scalable? Sure, but the problem is most times the cost of PPC is so expensive that there's not enough meat on the bone to make a decent profit. I try to earn at least 2x my cost. But most times it's 3 to 5x and that's tough with PPC.

I totally agree, I dont even sell SEO as a service, its just a huge headache, the only service I currently sell is PPC, this expands into display, remarketing, landing page design etc.

Hey Trader, would love to know how you find and approach companies spending £250,000+/month, most of my clients are between £1000 - £10000/month @ 10-20% management

I agree, @ $250K there's a lot more "incentive" to provide a kick ass PPC service. But most of my customers are small business owners, with a budget of $1-3k per month typically.

This is not entirely right. If the OP is unsure about whether he can make a full time lving from PPC management than pointing him in the direction of companies doing 25k per month in PPC is probably not the greatest idea. No offence to the OP.

My best PPC management client pays me 5.5k per month. It is complex work when you get to this range. A lot of work. Lots of data and testing to be done, optimization is never ending. Its great work. But a lot of the same stuff lol.

I think it's pretty scalable.. to a certain extent. Setting up takes the most time, but thereafter it's mostly campaign tweaking and split testing work which probably takes an hour or two for each campaign weekly?

I work for a huge PPC Mgmt company and I work full time on the sales side. I am happy to answer any questions that I can. I think has an independent provider the service is scalable. The industry is very crowded. I think the trick would be to identify what customer makes the most sense for you. Ask yourself what vertical can you support the best? Or who is most likely to end up with great results through PPC? Also, how much can you charge so you end up with the right balance of clients and income. A bunch of small clients will have high expectations, consume too much of your time and not pay you much. If you go after monsters, it will only scale if you can win enough accounts. Otherwise it's a nightmare when one cancels. Somewhere in-between is probably the answer. You should define your ideal customer criteria and stay laser focused on your approach. Good luck!

How much business in won say via websites/social/phone versus in person at your company? I assume the higher ticket businesses, paying $100k + monthly always expect face to face interaction to complete a sale/partnership etc?

Most of the busines is actually won in person. Personally I run the 1st sales call via phone/GoToMeeting to qualify the prospect and ensure no time is wasted. But most of the time we end up in a face to face meeting to close the sale. Alot of clients like the fact we have a local presence and will meet in person not only to sale the account but to conduct campaign reviews once their accounts are live and running.
