Hi i have one or two questions

hi

my name is Nejc im mechanical engineer and this is my first post on this forum and im green like tree in marketing business.

So i have invented simple product and yes im trying to sell it.
but regardless what i do to everyone that send offer they never replay .
ok obviously question is : is that normal ? i know i have way too high hopes but after close over 50 different mails to companies, wholesalers that i sender more times over the 6 month still no replay .
i know pro haps product is uninteresting but still no replay not even no ?

And if someone can send me a link to thread on this forum that can lets say teach me some basic i will be grateful.

    What exactly are you trying to sell to these companies?
    Keep in mind the economy sucks. (at least here in America)
    And if it isn't something insanely awesome, you are going to need to know the art of selling.

    A lot of companies are not going to spend money if the return isn't obviously there.

      I have done special simple toll to tap tobacco when customer is done rolling it. its small so that it goes with key together.

      i know it isn't insanely awesome but hey i cannot loose anything im youst trying who knows ?

    What problem(s) does your product solve for your customers?

    Is there a competing product?

    If so, what price point is that competitor at?

    What do people know about your product, and/or the problems it solves? Do they even know they have the problem?

      i have invented tobacco tapping tool for people that hand roll the tobacco

      So far i have searched something similar doesn't exist

      So far mostly when i showed people product they have known what it was for
      yes problem exist for those who are clumsy with hand rolling or machine for rolling tobacco doesn't work properly

      do they know ? umm hard to say some yes others no :confused:

        So you need to get this in front of tobacco retailers.

        Counter space in retail stores is valuable, so competition for it is heavy. For them to include your product in their space, they need to be sure it will sell.

        Are there tobacco stores locally you can visit and talk to the owners of?

        I would also offer this on Amazon with carefully chosen keywords.

          before that i must get bar code and patent and for that i need to open private company ( for bar code ) same goes for Amazon need bar code to sell .
          For all that i need money or if companies show interest i can get a small loan and start it.
          here is the problem i can do it right away and go in risk that it wouldn't work or if companies or wholesalers show interest i know its risk worth and i do it.

          that's why i start to email companies to find out.
          but after a 6 months or so whidout answers i suppose im doing something wrong .
          after research in internet i found this forum and hey lets ask worse cannot get

          and for stores i asked and advice was that from the owner that idea is good but without support from someone who manage stores or chain ( retailers wholesalers and producers ) i would have to invest way too much i can afford
          and that's why i start emailing

      first i searched for hand roll tobacco producers emails then i also searched for wholesalers
      all were done via Google search

    So you have created a new product if i'm not mistaken? Before you proceed have you gained a patent and trademark?

    If so simply go and get yourself a barcode and start selling the product on marketplaces. Once you have some sales it's a lot easier to prove your products worth.

    Do you have smoking rooms or tobacco clubs in Germany? Maybe you could also try giving a demonstration there and do some direct selling just to get the ball rolling
