How long do you let an offline client "slide" on making payments?
I've learned that once you let someone delay a payment, it never ends.
I like to "work with people" in helping them get wherever they need to go, but it is really taxing sometimes, and I just need to learn where to draw the line.
"If I can skip this month, I should be able to pay double next month" is generally what I'm hearing, and it usually happens... but I clench up everytime the phone rings lately.
Should I just lighten up and "let it slide"?
Or should I get tough and and drop'em?
I know there's no easy answer, so maybe I'm just venting more than anything else -- but any opinions from you bosses would sure come in handy right about now.
