What businesses can you think of that have a high customer transaction value?

I'll be offering marketing consulting services to offline businesses and am in the part of the process where I have to determine a good niche to go into.

So the question is:

What offline businesses can you think of that have both a high customer transaction value AND have customers that buy consistently?

A BAD example would be a car dealer, because although the transaction value is high, a customer isn't going to buy a car every month.

A GOOD example would be a Rolex dealer who has customers who buy a Rolex or other piece of expensive jewelry every few months or so.

What can you think of?

You are basically looking for people that have expensive habits.

Maybe skincare clinics (botox and whatnot)

Expensive habits... I hadn't thought about it that way before, but that's exactly right. Thanks!

I really don't understand the logic here. I'm a marketing consultant, and I want to find a niche to target?

Its not about a niche! with ONE exception... a niche that you yourself are very knowledgeable about. Its about the customer! fitting your services to their needs.

I believe there comes a point, once you have been marketing for a while that you do "find" that niche that works for you. But, i don't think that is something that someone purposely targets.

Personally for me, my "Niche" is the town I live in, and communities surrounding it. Not a business type, but the community as a whole.

I see it this way. There are only SO MANY plumbers, dentists, electricians, etc... in the USA. I can get you a list of every plumber in the USA, are you going to cold call every one? what do you think your close percentage would be? what do you do when the list runs out? ( I'm thinking there will be another post about Ideas! )

If you take a moment, look at yourself and ask "What am I interested in?" Think about it, you are going to be living and breathing this as a JOB. At least do something you enjoy, and understand. That in itself is going to be the most benefit to your customers, and for yourself for that matter.

For once, think outside of the box, by thinking within your own box. Its not about what your service's can do. Its about what YOU can do. And to place yourself into a place of integrity, passion, and authority within a market is HUGE! Regardless of what the market is.

Sorry for the rant.... well not really. Chasing dollars gets you no where, customers chasing you, for assistance to make them dollars gets you where you want to be!
