Jingle Sales, Jingle Sales, Jingle all the way....

... oh what a good time it is to sell over the festive season...

I'm writing this to dispel myths that "every business shuts down at Christmas".

I was able to take on two new clients the week before Christmas and the day I start back after New Year I also made another sale for a monthly marketing package.

HOW TO SELL AT CHRISTMAS

Well, the secret is that you need to build good habits throughout the year that don't dip over Christmas.

> Regularly get in front of new prospects.
> Regularly make offers.
> Regularly follow up on each person you meet (most people don't do this).
> Regularly ask for referrals from your existing clients.
> Regularly put out great content that gets people into your pipeline.

Once you build these habits up, you'll find that you just carry on over the holiday season and while your competitors book a few weeks off and laze about, you get ahead of them..

Let me know your thoughts...

yep agree mate, had a meet week before Xmas with corporate company and owners who run 5 companies, got them hooked simply just by wowing them with the ideas and strategies way beyond what they were considering, they got back to me today, deal done, more on the way from their other companies and their connections, the serious businesses don't switch off over the festive period, even if their doors are shut, the bosses are still working.

We discussed this in the forum over the time period.

I picked up a couple of copywriting clients in Christmas week.

You are going to run into two kinds of people:

    1. Those who do shut down for the holidays, and won't make any decisions until they return

    and

    2. Those who continue "business as usual."

Asking which type they are at the beginning of the conversation will smoke out which is which, and now you know where to spend your energy.

When most people who sell are giving up, note that those prospects who are continuing with business as usual are sitting there unguarded. They are receiving far fewer calls than normal. No one is paying them much attention. It's your time.
