If you bought the 9X12 System, how quickly were you able to put together your first postcard?

I purchased the 9X12 System recently.

If you had purchased the 9X12 System also, I just wanted to know how quickly after you purchased the course were you able to put together your first postcard?

Did you design the ads yourself or did you outsource?

Where did you find a low cost printer to print the postcards?

Did you bundle up the postcards yourself to bring to the post office or did you outsource that?

Filled mine up in about a month if I remember correctly

Did you design the ads yourself or did you outsource?
Designed all of the ads myself

Where did you find a low cost printer to print the postcards?
I used gotprint.com, worked pretty well

Did you bundle up the postcards yourself to bring to the post office or did you outsource that? Bundled everything myself. Bundling 10,000 cards only took about 3 hours or so in front of the TV

Thanks for the kind words Sal.

I've worked very hard over the last couple years to offer better printing services than can be found elsewhere, as well as the ability to turnkey the whole thing if someone wants it hands off.

For design, I always give my members recommendations for great designers to outsource to, who I've personally used and screened.

For bundling it just makes sense to pay a little more for bundling since it will speed up the process significantly. You can do up to 100piece bundles.

    To James English:

Thank you for your response, James. I really appreciate it.

You said that you designed the ads yourself. Do you have a graphics design background?

Does Gotprint have better prices than the one used by Bob Ross?

Bob Ross (Jake) answers those questions in his courses. His company has the lowest printing prices. You can also have him do your design, but if you don't want to use him, he gives you discount links for other companies like Logonerds. He will also pack the cards and ship them to the post office for you. It's really an all-in-one service he offers.

      Thanks, Sal, for your input.

I have read all that from his course but I just wanted to get an input from people who bought the 9X12 System as to how they're doing it.

Have you been outsourcing the design, printing and packing to Bob's company?

How long did it take you to put together your first card?

      Thank you, again.

        No prob IMBlest.

I haven't actually done any business with Jake, YET. I picked up his 9x12 course back when he first launched it. I started to prospect, had to few interested businesses but never got a postcard filled due to my own issues. I recently picked up the printing profiteer (which is another awesome course), and am getting ready to fill a 9x12 and offer printing services. I'm just waiting for samples to arrive.

I, too, purchased the Print Profiteer course.

In fact, I bought it BEFORE I purchased the 9X12 System.

I was just wondering, if we act also as a print broker (per Print Profiteer Course), will we get from Bob's company an even cheaper rate to print the 9X12 postcards than he is giving to people who are not acting as print brokers.

Bob Ross, if you are reading this, please respond as to how this will work if we are also print brokers.

Printing = $495 for 5k which includes shrinkwrap into 50's. If you pay more than that you getting screwed.

            Mockups - get from OfficeMax for less than $2 a piece . . .

Wow! What company are you using that it only cost you $495 to print 5,000 9x12 postcards?

              Thank you for posting.

That price is standard with big houses.

We broker for two different full color printers - one east coast and one west coast.

I would be interested in knowing this too.

Are the 5,000 Full Color 9x12?
UV Coated on both sides on 16 pt stock?

There is no way that's $495.

If you go with 14 pt stock instead of 16pt, the price may drop quite significantly. Still, $495 is very low, but probably negotiable.

Yep - $495. Just add tax and shipping. Everyday prices.

14pt not 16pt. Aqueous Coating not UV. Can't tell the difference tho.

Thanks, Bob Ross, for your post.

I imagine if you have better printing prices than anyone else, it may be a good idea to just use your company.

At this time, I'm checking out a few companies.

If I were to outsource to you not only the design & the printing but also the packing and mailing to the local post office here, how then can I prove to the business owners that the postcards were mailed out?

Do I get a copy of the receipt from the local post office saying that 10,000 postcards were mailed out in the neighborhood that I have chosen?

Do I get 14-16 copies of the postcards mailed to me directly so I can give to each of the 14 - 16 business owners who put an ad?

Do I just also pay you for the 16 cents for each piece of EDDM when I pay for the printing?

    How does this all work?

Just a quick tip on bundling.... It goes quick IF you make sure to tell the printer to "slip sheet" the cards in groups of 100.

If you DONT do that, it's a mistake you'll only make ONCE, lol
