How to add additional value to reputation management & repair services?

Hi everyone,

Looking for some ideas on how to offer more value when providing reputation management or repair services.

Right now the basic service will include improving their reviews by funneling good reviews to public sites and bad reviews privately to the owner of said business. In addition to this, if they have bad listings on the first page of search engines I will offer to get those pushed down out of the first page.

I am looking at more suggestions at what could be offered that would build more value.

I have thought about capturing the emails and phone numbers of customers who are leaving a good review so that they can be marketed to later on down the line. Another value added service could be review monitoring across all the major review sites (hopefully I can find a white label solution and give my clients access).

Anything else that can be added to build value that is at least partly related to the primary service of reputation repair and management?

Thank you!

How about getting to the core of why they had to hire you for ORM in the first place? Fix that, and you fix the ORM problem.

You should explain it to people like its online public relations and in addition to fixing their negative results you will be creating positive "buzz" about their company and driving traffic through online press releases and other publications.

One strategy I remembered using was enhancing their yelp page since yelp is very reliable nowadays for people to find businesses. I charged like $500 for this one time.

To fix a Yelp review, you can't fake anything, so there is something I like to do:

    1) Contact the business and find them through Yelp
    2) If they have a bad review at the top of their review page, ask them what they did wrong to that customer. Really talk to them in a sense as if you were a customer and find out what happened. Most of those bad reviews are just from angry people, and sometimes from fired employees. If they reply, you talk to them recommending that you can fix it.

    3) Let them know through a detailed email that you understand them, and that you can help remove, or at least hide those reviews.

    4) Once they agree to having you help them , go to Craigslist and find somebody in that area of the restaurant with a good rating. Make the listing say you need a 5 star yelp reviewer who wants to make $100 for going to "the business", and then giving their honest but still good review on yelp. The trick is to tell the business that a person will be there to be a critic for Yelp, but they shouldn't know exactly who. This way, the yElp reviewer is sort of like a mystery shopper.
    5) This is the only way to kind of remove those bad reviews since Yelp just doesn't filter out the bad ones. It's hard to hide them, but if you can get a business to pay you $400 for every good review, eventually the bad ones will disappear.

This is the best service to offer for any Yelp review page for business owners that you are already working with. Hopefully this service will wet your appetite already!

I bet they would pay big bucks if you could send a guy named Vinny to slap them around for leaving a bad review :-)

On a more serious note my high end clients want a complete management system that includes a pro active system for capturing reviews, dealing with unhappy clients BEFORE they post online and they want to regularly post and increase the ranks of their positive interactions to insulate themselves against one bad post harming their business.

Gathering emails is always a good idea OP. In addition, providing surveys, coupons to get the consumer back in the business, and maybe even setting up a local directory to send reviewers to for the business.

Fully agree, a complete management system is the way to go.
