How much would you charge Offline Businesses To Submit Them To Top Online Directories?

Do you offer a service to Offline Businesses of submitting their businesses to the top online directories?

I'm thinking of offering this service but I don't know how much to charge.

Would you please suggest how much to charge a business owner for this service of submitting the business owner's business to about 15 top online directories?

Thank you in advance.

    $10.

Then you can outsource the task to someone on fiverr for $5.

Use this service as a way to "break-the-ice" with your clients and sell them on higher ticketed services you can offer.

I would actually bundle it with other services.

You can get someone to set them up for you for pretty cheap...and then charge like $97 for your time spent.

I would bundle it as well.
Citations as a stand alone won't benefit a client a whole lot.

If you need pricing though, you can look at competitors.
Go somewhere like Yext or UBL, I think GetListed has a link to buy the listings as well.
        Then price accordingly.

However, I don't recommend you sell this as a stand alone service.
By itself, it won't bring in much for ROI.
Then, the client may blame you.

Funny you mention this as I was just about to post about this.

But to answer your question I submit to about 130 directories and I charge $250 and outsource it for $50. With phone or postcard verified listings I charge $100 more. Pretty good profit from 30 minutes of work.

But, I just had a client that I did some onetime work for, a hairdresser that was a referral. Normally would not work with this type of business but she desperately needed a new site, mobile site, and a little seo.

I get a call from her yesterday. She got a call from Media Yellow, Yellowpagecity dot com and they wanted to charge her $3000 to get her NAP corrected in about 100 directories.

    She didn't bite.

They said oh lets look at your BBB rating. She has an A+ rating. Rep says "oh since you have an A+ BBB rating we'll drop it to $2K.

He kept trying to sell her on all the extra traffic she would get. She was smart enough to see through this as all of her business comes through FB, here site or referrals.

Seriously, a small salon paying $3K for cleaning up directory listings?

So to answer your question another way, you can charge what ever you want. Heck, charge $3K like these guys do. Just 3 a month and your rolling in it.......seriously don't do that to small business owners.

As local internet marketing professionals this is the hurdles that you have to jump over all the time because they ended up paying outrageous fees for stuff like this and saw little to no return from it. Then we stop by and they don't want to hear a word about it, been burned once and don't want to get burned again.

Great post and nice story! Thanks so much for sharing.

No....I have no intention of charging $3K or even $2K.

I was thinking of offering the service to get my foot in the door and offer the business owners additional services like web design, mobile websites or facebook marketing.
