Building a referral network, need experts advice.

Hello,

I am new to the forum, but not exactly new to internet marketing. I am hitting the offline world right now. Decided to become an SEO sales person for a local firm out here.

I figured it would be a great way to learn the ins and outs of the business, by working for a company doing it day to day.

Right now I am cold calling. I am pretty good at it too. But I am also working at a motorcycle dealership doing all there internet stuff, plus more. I am just getting paid a measly $11.00 an hour. And that was after forcing myself on the raise.

I create about 90 leads a month for them right now, and that's without a marketing budget. Fairly close to the amount cycletrader brings in.

So now I am only bringing in roughly $220-$250.00 a week, if that. While I focus on creating leads for my new venture.

I have about 8 deals in my pipeline that are some what serious, and if they close it will be more than enough for me to start surviving again financially.

I want to start calling accountants, web designers, graphic designers, basically anyone in my related niche to send me business. And act as a referral partner.

Has anyone out there had much success with this referral method. I could really use some help. Right now I am living with about $20.00 to spend after I get paid, and pay my bills.

Thanks guys

Just a simple "who else should I speak to" at the end of the call is enough to get them to open up. AND when they start - DON'T INTERRUPT - let them carry on. Then - you get to call x, y and z and say "Mr A said to call you"

Just a simple "who else should I be speaking to" at the end of the call should get you some warmer calls next time around.

(I posted this but it seemed to not save).
