Getting Business Owners on a Webinar...

If anyone here is selling to local clients via webinar, I'd love to hear some ideas on how you're driving them to it.

I'm trying facebook ads and I will try some linkedin prospecting as well, but I'm not sure the best way to approach it.

Right now I'm driving facebook ppc to a lead pages page which auto registers them for GoToWebinar when they enter their email. The page isn't converting well and I know facebook isn't the best traffic source so any feedback would be great.

Call, get them into a conversation, find out if they even have a need and then invite them?

I'm looking mostly for online lead sources right now. I may try calling but right now I'm looking mostly for online prospecting sources.

Here's a process for LinkedIn that may help.

Join relevant groups and participate in the group's discussions, identify those who'd be good prospects for you, request a connection.
"Hi John, I saw your post in groupx and thought it to be relevant and positive to the discussion. Marketing is not risk-adverse and must be for the right prospects at the right time.

I am requesting a connection with you because I'd like to expand my network with the right people.

        Thanks,
        <your name>"
After a connection is made, send a quick note with a couple of passive questions relevant to the issues/problems in that niche and ones that align with your solution. For me, I address the problems associated with missed scheduled appointments, so I may reply with:
"Thank you for accepting my connection request, I certainly appreciate it.

I talk to many business owners and managers and I am continually trying to reinforce my assessment of what are truly the real problems and issues that service businesses must overcome and address to remain productive and profitable.

I would very much appreciate a quick reply to the following (if applicable to you):

What is a conservative number last-minute cancellations and/or no-shows to scheduled appointments do you typically see each week or month?"
I use this number in my conversations/presentations to monetize that pain and is a good information to have when I am talking with business owners.

Maybe this could be adjusted somehow to build your audience?

Mike Cooch did something on this a couple of years back in "The Chase Formula", I need to see if that presentation was free and public. If so, I will find it on YT and report back.

There is also this thread, which you probably have seen:

I think the idea that he spoke to was that he was doing weekly sessions that weren't sales oriented.

Once they became known to be a regular event, he and his team would use every means available to get them there.

for someone who doesn't know you, a webinar may be a tough sell because of the restricted time scheduling. Have you tried offering a free report for the opt in?

OP, the source of your problem may be a trust issue. I re-read this again and immediately thoughtnof the question "why won't more people attend my webinar?".

We've had success with the recorded-video "fake" webinars that allow people to view them immediately if desired.

Trying to get scheduled webinars to have a live audience of any reasonable size will not only take a lot of work but be difficult UNLESS the industry is proven to have an interest in attending such things. I wouldn't attempt to be the pioneer of webinars to a particular audience.
