Hello we know about offline marketing and online marketing. But in this situation which is the best marketing strategy ? I see that offline marketing follows the traditional way. I just want to launch a business soon. But I am in a confuse that which is the best marketing way now and why this is better than another?

Offline or online... it really depends... but if you're new to entrepreneurship and you'd like to set up a business that is mobile and can be done anywhere with internet connection, then start online.

I personally started offline and did great... I loved it. I then branched out into the online space and loved it as well... I figured out that I didn't necessarily love the businesses that I was getting into, but I loved the journey of entrepreneurship... the thrill of getting deals and creating stuff.

So for you... start where you think is best. You're going to get a lot of different opinions on this... that's great, but ultimately, it's going to be you following your heart.

In my point of view this solely depends upon you but before starting anything you need to know about that i mean whether online or offline you can do well with sound knowledge and right plan. Still I would go for online marketing because today most of the people are addicted to internet and prefer this medium to search and share. Aslo it is easy to connect to masses virtually.

It really depends on your personality. OD you like talking to people? Can you ask for the deal? Are you comfortable asking for an up sell once you have your client on the first page? How long are you willing to work before you start making money?

In my opinion you can make money faster offering offline services. Started over in July of 2013 by October I had 5 figure a month residuals coming in from clients.

If you can wait for a while and you know how to build awesome squeeze pages and websites, then you could try online too. Online may take a while longer to start making big money, but you can build an email list as you go, and then resell affiliate products to your list. I am told it's like having a built in pay check. Every time you send out a product you make money. I hope that helps!

For me, it's the other way around. Because I work online, I am more into online marketing. I focus more on that and then work on offline marketing next.

It is all about marketing strategy, but if you can do online and offline marketing at the same time then it'll be more effective. It is like you're reaching out for more possibilities for your business.

First of all I would like to say congrats for your newly launched business. According to me you should do marketing both the ways. Start from offline which would be fully concentrated to your local business audience because they might not aware of internet. After that you may go for online marketing which is targeted for local as well as international clients.

You can market most services/merchandise both offline and online, that's not a big secret. But have you had any experience working in maybe a retail shop or helped a friend to manage his website, or anything along those lines? My point is, where have you had more experience in, offline or online? Start from there. Also you don't have to concentrate solely on either one. You can start by putting 85% of your effort to offline marketing and 15% to online marketing. Or vice versa. After a while you'll get a feel for both worlds and can decide where your main focus should be.
Do you have any friends or acquaintances who are offline or online marketers? This can also be a big deciding factor because they have already been through the hussle of starting a businesses and can point you to the right direction. Buy them a beer and ask for little advice, people love to talk about their businesses and the challenges they have faced.

    All the best,
    Tomi

Well according to the man who has the best track record on making future predictions (Ray Kurzweil) he said we will increasingly spend our time in virtual environments (online) and that the physical world will take up less relevance.. i.e. people don't need to travel any more to communicate. There are still opportunities in the offline world but they may become increasingly hybridized such as augmented reality aps overlaying information on real spaces.

You may want to do a combination of both. That is "if" your goal is to branch out and grow. Ideally you'd want to "be everywhere" in your industry, both online and offline.

Many offline businesses also build email lists of buyers and prospects, lists of customer phone numbers, have websites (ecommerce sites if they're selling physical products or some services), have Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts that are at least semi-active, have a blog and so on.

That being said, if you're a one person operation, I personally believe that it depends on the market you're trying to serve and your personal goals. Some markets require more of your active participation than others. You can outsource most things, but some things are more difficult to have others do.

My personal plan is to eventually either sell my offline business or close the doors. The reason for that is because of all the costs involved in expanding it to where it will become the money making machine that I'd like it to be. I was in this market before when it was crushed by the great recession. I tend to believe another recession is looming in the near future.

My online efforts "saved my caboose" last time and I plan to continue rebuilding those, only this time I'll be more secure there as well.

My advice is to only start a business that's evergreen (something that was around 10-20 years ago and will be around another 20 years or more).

If you want your freedom you should start focusing all of your efforts toward building an email list in every market you enter. That way you can set-up follow-up messages for several months (or even years) and you can run it mostly hands off. Also, if you have a substantial list of buyers you'll have an asset that you can sell if you ever want to get out of business.

Another benefit of building lists of prospects and customers online is that you have the entire world as potential customers, not just those in the U.S. or other single country.

Finally, once you have one thing in place and making money regularly, start outsourcing certain tasks (those that you don't enjoy that can be done for cheap by someone else) and start a second project.

Your long term goal should be to develop at least a handful of long term income streams that pretty much run on autopilot. That way if the market changes, the economy changes, you have health problems (or worse), etc at least some of your businesses will still continue on. That will give you more long term stability.

    HTH,

    Joe

As others have said, depends on your business. The key word here is "experiment" i.e. see what works best for you. You might be surprised that an offline channel is your most productive, despite the increasing focus (and marketing spend) on digital these days.

As more physical goods are bought online,
there is more wharehousing and couriers needed.

Walmart and Amazon are 2 examples.

USPS is now doing Sunday delivery because of Amazon demand.

      Best,

Online marketing and Off line marketing provides the same aim to promote the products and services and Online Marketing is best as compare to Offline marketing because Online marketing consists of internet by using SEO, SMM, SMO while Offline marketing campaign consist of banners, manual advertising, telemarketing and door to door marketing.

It really depends on the business and your target customer. I would say that if your customer is younger and between the ages of 14-26 you're best going with online marketing and targeting them this way.

If your focus is towards an older demographic than you may want to do more offline marketing.

Let me give you some examples to help you decide.

I have a friend who started a computer repair/computer networking business. His goal was to get locals come into the shop. He made fliers and put them up in shopping centers with the number at the bottom and tear strips so multiple people could take his number. Then he made a web page with all his services and his hourly rates. Then he bought ad space in the local paper. Then he made a web page with all his services and his hourly rates. He's getting the traffic he wanted. All local people who need computer help.

The company I work for specializes in software. So we market online and occasionally in PC magazines. We get most our business from our website.

As you see both examples use both, but they use their advertising dollars in very different ways.

There's no right or wrong. The important thing is whether can you get LEVERAGE in those opportunities depending on your connections & resources.

    Example:
You are offered an exclusive rights to a weight loss product in your country.
How do you get leverage to DISTRIBUTE your product to as many people as possible?
If you have connections to GNC-like stores, you could strike a deal with them and get your product in 100 stores next. However, if you have the resources (in terms of skill) to find online sellers in your country, then online marketing could be the better option.

    Be flexible

If you're new with minimal finances, then
online marketing would be better. I say
this b/c you can reach a greater audience
with the internet on your side.

Sure, you can use offline tactics to reach
large audiences (ie: radio, TV, billboards)
but those sources are very expensive.

Just because you reach a smaller audience
offline, though, it doesn't mean that you
    should discount it.

You'd be surprised - that person four houses
down the street can very well be a prospect.

Offline marketing has always influenced online consumer behaviour but the difficult bit is measuring it!However, understanding which element of offline media is driving online behaviour is the challenge as, unfortunately the offline world isn't as trackable as online.Brands that will achieve the most moving forward are those that fully understand and buy-in to the need to evaluate channels on their own merits and how they interact, contribute and influence the performance of others and the business goals. visit: https://vpmarketingondemand.com/ - The Essentials for Marketing.
