I spanked a conman / scammer today.

I am sitting at home just relaxing, my wife is taking a nap and her
cell rings. I do something I never do ... answer the phone when
it says "private".

This knucklehead pitches me .... fake diplomas
According to him they were not fake ... they are the real deal.
I just had to pay.

I love sales and i really have a soft spot in my heart for phone sales.
But i hate scammers ... they give us all a bad reputation.

I am not sure what got into me ... this is what I did.

I allowed him to get thru his entire pitch and rebut me and rebut me.
The entire time I was listening for back ground noise. I was trying
to determine if he was one man band or in a office. All
I heard was dead silence. So I took a shot ... and said ...

Look, your pretty good, however you really need to improve your introduction
and you completely skipped the warm up. How long have you been selling this.

His response ... "what is a warm up?"

I took a few minutes explained, asked him questions about his goals,
sales experience ... bonded with him.

and then ...

Lied my ass off. Completely off the cuff I made up an imaginary
home based business opportunity ... that he was perfect for.

Hook line and sinker.

I now have his credit card ( that i wont run ) and he will be waiting for the mail
to come and bring him his shiny new business.

--- little scamming prick is lucky I am one of the honest ones.

I am not sure if i am bragging, venting or something else.
