If you have clients who run a bakery

I thought I would share something to give back to the community.

This is for people who run a bakery.

At work, we often have cake to celebrate people's birthdays. We do this for everyone in the department, sometimes we combine people and celebrate 2 or 3 people with one cake. Also, if anyone is going on maternity leave, or moving to another job, etc. we have cake. A lot of departments do this.

One of our recent employees has a brother who is a baker. Someone ordered from him, and we were very impressed, and we are now constantly ordering from him.

Now, think of how many offices and workplaces have this type of thing going on. Multiply that by the number of departments in each.

I think a lot of people would have thought of this already, but I still thought I would share.

My family has a bakery and this strategy won't work. Not all offices hold birthday parties and people have different tastes when it comes to cake. Some might like them, others not. The cost to advertize to all the offices will be really slowly recuperated and most won't buy.

It is better to buy a list of birthdays or better yet get the birthday of all your current customers. They already love your products and sending a simple reminder with an offer just before their birthday can go a long way to generate sales.

Having a relative working in the office does create a kind of pressure to buy from you, especially if you do a good job with the cake.

    You are right.

The cake that was made was actually really good. Everyone liked it because it wasn't too sweet, and he did extra stuff like putting fruits in between the layers.
