Did anyone catch Hotel Impossible tonight?

Did you guys see the interview with that "local marketing agency" that the hotel was paying $2500/month?

Okay for all you newbies to offline marketing - this is exactly what NOT to do in a meeting with your client.

She is about as shady as they come. As soon as she started talking, I knew where this was going right away. Anthony asked what they were doing for $2500 a month and she started talking about a million miles an hour but not really saying anything.

Anthony asked her how she things things are going... And she actually said "I think they're still in business"

She rambled some trigger phrases like: work organically, social platforms, bring lead gen, etc etc. It was like watching a sinking ship go under.

Afterwards, the owner of the hotel and Anthony talked about how all she did was talk in circles, and not really answer anything they asked her about.

I think the word they used was "un-interpretable"

Most clients don't care about all your bells & whistles, they want solutions and measurable results.

    I came on here today after watching that episode just to see if anyone else saw that trainwreck.

    That's how I imagine pretty much any "SEO / marketing" situation happening. People here talk on and on about how they charge $1500+ a month and that anything else is wasting your time. Then when somebody asks what to actually DO for that money every month, people spout off answers JUST like that lady did.

    Clearly they were able to rob like $30k off that hotel, but I don't think that's a viable long term business plan.

    I'd like to actually help businesses prosper, not sell them snake oil. I believe that can be done for far less than they were charging, or a lot of the prices I see touted on here.

    That doesn't mean we can't get our piece of the pie, but we need to actually know what we are doing to help, not just spew answers we read on warrior forum.
