"I ain't testing jack! Just tell me the best offline niches..."

Hey,

I'm going to try to say this as nicely as I can, but if it has a little bite to it, bear with me.

So many times I get consultants who email me and ask (aka demand) to know the best offline niches they should target.

I always tell them, in one way or another, to pick five or ten niches that they have experience in, knowledge of or at least would personally like to work with and test things out.

Of course that's not the answer they want to hear, but it's the best answer that I have.

See, as consultants, we all must accept this simple fact:

There is no perfect offline niche.

Sure there are niches that are more likely to respond to your offers if they're truly irresistible to that target market.

Sure there are niches that traditionally hire consultants to keep their edge and stay one step ahead of their
competitors.

And yes there are niches that are filled with business owners who sell high ticket items.

However, many of those niches have been beat up fairly thoroughly by hundreds, if not thousands, of consultants and service companies.

That's why you need to test your way to success in various niches in order to find a winner for you.

Here's what I suggest:

- Test five or ten niches.
- Test various approaches or angles in that niche.
- Test it with Facebook traffic.
- Test it with Linkedin traffic.
- Test it with industry forum traffic.
- Test the landing page.
- Test the offer.
- Test the ads.
- Test different ad layouts.
- Test unbranded copy.
- Test branded copy.
- Test the day of the week you run the campaign.
- Test the time of day you run the campaign.

Now, if you just got turned off by all the various ways I just listed to test things, then today's email is for you.

Wear the shoe Cinderella.

Testing is not always fun, but it's necessary to find the winning formula.

I sell a ton of niche specific products and the one thing that I've learned over the years is that regardless of how much success I'll personally have with something, everybody
else still needs to test it out themselves.

In fact, I'll be the first to tell you that my products are only the foundation upon which you build, customize and create your own success system.

They are not the be all to end all.

Besides, if you're not willing to invest even a few hundred dollars to test a concept you heard about, product you purchased or advice from someone who's been there and
done that, who's kidding who?

So, if you're one of those consultants who's looking for the perfect niche, just remember that it doesn't exist.

You'll have to test your way to success.

See you at the top,

Chris

I agree in terms of niches. It's true that there is no specific niche. In fact, I just do what Jason does, I contact all of the same niches at once, and then I eventually move on to another niche.

I find that it is tough sometimes to really explain to others that there really is no specific main niche, especially since there are so many people who think "because one plumber bought from me every plumber will." You probably just got lucky in that one niche. The key isn't about the niche; it's about the execution on how you market to them.

In my experience 90% of the people online looking to create an income have a not so great attitudes when it come to testing, everybody wants the easy way out. Many people totally understand the concept but are too lazy or lack the drive to do what it takes.

      Its sad but true!

Agreed about the testing aspect. People just want that special niche or that perfect cold calling script. People need to remember that things are changing constantly in the offline biz, and what worked ten years ago may not work right now. Selling websites alone may not be as profitable as it was 10 years ago when websites were just beginning, and only a handful of biznesses were marketing with a website. Who knows, 10 years from now every single biz will have a mobile site and perfect online marketing.

Who knows, right? But the market is still huge, and there is no need to seclude yourself with just one niche or one type of business to target.
