How to grow my subscription base to 200 members

Hi all,

I just published a monthly newsletter that is delivered via physical mail. My first issue was last month, May.

Currently, I have only 1 paid subscriber and I figured that I need 200 to make a comfortable living.

My target audience are local SMEs, freelancers as well as sales professionals such as insurance agents, real estate agents, financial advisers etc.

I have a mailing list of about 700 subscribers (small biz owners, sales professionals combine....)

My question now is, what is the fastest way for me to grow my subscription to 200 paying members?

    The obvious answer is time... Rome was not built in a day, and with mailing,1 newsletter out the door is not going to get you the results you were, I am guessing looking for. If after 3 or 4 newsletters and you only have 1 subscriber, then I would worry!

      Seems too generic to me when realtors have their association newsletter articles and tips.

      They have their own gurus like Craig Proctor who only talks about what applies to
      realtors.

      Insurance people have their own specialist gurus
      to learn from.

      Retailers have their own association to call upon
      for tips. They too have their own gurus, like Bill Glazer.

      Why should your prospects buy from you?

      Why would they subscribe? What's in your newsletter?
      What do they want? How much does it cost?

    1. I'm not sure you have a niche. That is a lot of groups it serves. Maybe the topic is the niche but you need a niche. Even is you make the same newsletter and modify it for multiple niches. They must feel it is for them.

    2. You have to sell it. I'm not sure how you plan to do it but rather it be sales letters, cold calls, or etc it must be sold.

    3. Hopefully Claude will be able to add more tips as he has done this model before and I have picked his brain on it myself.
