Help with new blog name for offline business

I value the creativity of the minds in this section so thanks in advance.

I am building a content heavy blog (vids/articles/case studies). The content will be drawn from my 15 years of experience with small and medium biz as a consultant in all types of niches providing advanced internet marketing, seo, social media, ppc, video marketing, custom software etc..

The vibe is me providing free info due to my frustration over some of the absurd things that get pitched at business owners as well as all the missed opportunities because of just doing the web/sales/marketing wrong.

Selfishly this will save me a ton of time as I seem to be having the same conversations over and over again so it will be easier to say "go watch this vid" :-)

The content will be no bs, highly condensed actionable information they need to know and what really works in terms they can understand and all from experience not theory. In the future there may be product reviews etc... of stuff that I use and know works but 99% will just be pure content that took 15 years and tons of dollars and testing to learn.

Specifically I am looking for:
  • a dot com that is available for regular price purchase on GoDaddy
  • It should be memorable, easy to spell and short.
  • Preference of maximum 3 words and 15 characters (without the .com)
  • It should be a name that is brand-able and could theoretically later be sold off.
I value all suggestions!

    Plessard,

I am probably not going to rattle off some names for you, but maybe go a step further and give you a read that will assist you in getting to that name.

Matt Barrie ( CEO of Freelance ) posted a link over on the Conversion Rate Optimization board that deals with landing pages. within the context of landing pages is the idea of matching the link to the page content.

Taking that concept at a ground level startup choice... I would look at what it is you are going to be sharing as a whole, and how that URL can be used to your advantage as a "Message Match"

Here is the link: The Most Entertaining Guide to Landing Page Optimization You'll Ever Read

    Hope that Helps!

I don't know if this will help but my vision is to build a tribe that just wants the straight goods on small pieces of Web marketing at a time to help them make ongoing decisions how best to build their business without being bamboozled.

Peter I used the same structure Drayton Bird and Gary Bencivenga did.

        Hence, Lessard Lessons.

Thanks Ewen for this new blog I am staying away from putting my name in the URL/Blog Name in the event I decide to sell it later down the line.
