Hey guys!

I'm just writing a new Script for Cold calling.
I tested them bouth with 10-20 calls but I'm not sure..

My Script at the Moment

Good morning ______, I wonder if you could help me. My Name is ABC and i work for DEF. We can see here on our screen that you dont use this Service yet, and we wonder why thats the case?
- Thats not what i am saying obviously but thats the basically the content.

Opposed to just the offer

I try to engange the person on the phone.

Your not sure of what? if it works? ....

How are we supposed to know? Besides 10-20 calls is not enough to judge anything.
If your asking for specifics about a section of the script ... then you need to post exactly what
your saying ... or we wont know what to help you with.

    -Edit-

Here is a thread that should answer most of your script questions
    - perhaps you will find it useful.

    Ok, my section is:

We can see you don't have a website for you business yet, and we wonder if there is a specific reason for that?
(The actual script is in another language but thats translated what i am saying.)

You are making the person defend his position.

Once he has voiced it, then he will stay Consistant
to it, therefore you will never move him from that position...
      no matter what you say.

      Time to start over.

      Best,
      Ewen

How do you know you are talking with the right person? It looks like you are just pitching anyone who picks up the phone.

@ewenmack - thank you for the advice

    @AidenTingley - thank you, I added you

@jamesfreddyc - in the niche i'm calling with this offer, there will be the decision maker on the phone, but good point! I have to think about that

@DABK - Thank you, I will do that

After you make sure you are talking with the decision maker, you might also want to check to see if they are busy -- maybe they have a raving mad customer in front of them. How do you think that call would go for you?

Also in your script you are asking for help but you never really define exactly what you need their help with! It's a little awkward I think.

In my opinion, this is a grey area. I rarely ask if it's a bad time because once you've revealed the fact that you're selling something you may never get them on the phone again. They'll know who you are and many will instruct their secretary to simply say that they're not interested when you call back.

On the other hand, if they're cordial and they tell me that it's a really bad time I'll be very understanding and ask when the best time to reach them would be when they have a minute to talk. Even then a lot of times they'll ask what the call is regarding in detail. "Just tell me". At that point I'll just go in with my pitch because I may never get another chance.

Keep in mind that if you're calling B2B it's never really a good time. They're working. I always try to be respectful, but grab the opportunity while it's there. You may not get a second chance.
